While ministering in church on Sunday, March 6, General Overseer of the Latter Rain Assembly and former Vice Presidential candidate under the Congress for Progressive Change, Pastor Tunde Bakare reportedly stated that anointing oil was like mosquito repellant.
Condemning its use and those of anointed handkerchief, Holy Communion, communion of sprinkling, Shiloh sacrifice, Pastor Bakare, according to DailyPost, told his congregation:

Do you guys agree with Pastor Tunde Bakare? I know some churches are against the use of Anointing oil. I hear Christ Embassy says once you're saved there's no longer need for things like anointing oil.
My take is this; I believe it's the power of God that heals. But without faith there would be no healing. When I use my anointing oil to pray and that prayer is backed with my faith, it moves mountains for me. This is my personal testimony.
You might want to argue that if I'd said the same prayers, with the same level of faith, minus the anointing oil I would still have gotten the same results.
But I'm speaking from my own personal experiences, praying with anointing oil, backed by my faith has at different times healed me, and given me results that I'd previously not gotten.
If you have any thoughts on this I would really like to hear them.
