Mariam in her white n' white.
The journey was a long one because the driver didn't know the way to bayelsa so a journey of 7hrs took almost 16hrs, Bayelsa camp is located at polokuma opokuma local govt, NYSC is yet to get a permanent camp here so we made use of KAIAMA secondary school in the local govt area.
I got there around 10 so the only registration I could do was to get a bed,at-least, I needed to lay my innocent head after a long busy day! it was a short night cos they woke us as early as 3am to get prepared. I started registration on wednesday 12th 2014, I couldn't get a kit until saturday, all that period I was afraid because I thought I might not get kitted, my state code number is as unique as me..BY/14A\1111. LOL.
I started parade officially on Thursday and dat was the day I was authoritatively elected a VP of my platoon. A guy was the president, being a platoon leader was not so easy but its so much fun? I met a lot of wonderful people darego, shakira, bukky, mariam etc. The different competitions like Miss. Camp, hotleg, big, bold, and beautiful etc made it so much fun. The military officers allocated to my platoon are wonderful, staff sergent Emmanuel adamu and oga Monday and the other NYSC officials. I must say I enjoyed every moment here and I can boastfully tell u its a life time experience you will always treasure.
I got redeployed to OYO after the 3weeks of fun,I will definitely miss everything. And everyone..
thelma..I missed yuuu
I missed you too Mariam. You just reminded me of my camp days. Those three weeks were the most fun I've had ever! And the contests too, Wow! I remember how I contested for miss Big Bold and Beautiful in camp (Ogun state) and I had to tie a two piece wrapper around my bust and hips and dance a booty dance and eventually won the spot of the 1st Runner Up, with a 21" Flat Screen TV as my prize which I used through my service year. Camp was so much fun but the year that followed; CDS and Clearance were such a massive headache.
Mariam I'm happy your redeployment wasn't stressful. Welcome back sweetness!
