There's Got To Be Something Good Somewhere...

HELLOOOOOOOOOOO WORLD! Does anyone out there have a story to tell?
*A happy story I mean..
*Maybe even a testimony.
*Something good, pleasing and joyful.
*Something uplifting.
*Something encouraging.
*Has something happened to you and you looked up and said "this could only be you God"
*Have you ever been so mysteriously blessed beyond your expectations and understanding...
*Does your marriage defy the norm, no it's not perfect but you have an amazing spouse and a beautiful marriage...
*Have you ever received favour of immense magnitude that you neither deserved nor expected...
*Are you in love with your best friend who's in love with you right back...
*Did someone do something that made you really happy...
*Is there something that has happened in your life and your family that provoked thanksgiving...

Please SHARE IN THE COMMENT SECTION!

Indulge me. I'm so sick and tired of seeing and hearing bad, sad, negative news. News about killings and abuse and rape and molestation.
Most especially reading about bad marriages and bad husbands; abusive husbands, neglectful husbands, cheating husbands, cruel husbands. (Those ones that make you feel like every marriage is bad and therefore yours can never be good).
I'm tired of hearing sad stories, sob stories, discouraging stories.

Once in a while we need to hear something that reminds us that this life is not all lemons and sour grapes.

So please if something is going right in your life (no matter how big or small) share with us, and possibly put a smile on someone's face. (Or if you'd rather have me put it up as a post them mail me; thelmathinks@gmail.com )

  2. Thelma I agree with you, especially on the marriage one. I've run away from stella dimoko's blog because that blog was making me lose hope in marriage. Please we need to hear stories of good marriages and happy people. We've heard enough of all the depressing stuff.

  3. I met hubby at a time I was definitely sick and tired of"love". I so was not looking for anything in that regard. He is the most amazing person I have ever met and if u know him too u would think so. I can CATEGORICALLY say marriage is beautiful and I just don't get all these stories of woes. Trust me life has not played an easy game on us. This past one year has been hell in more ways than one. But I have had my friend, lover, prayer partner, planner by my side. And I don't think there is any other feeling in the world that beats that of knowing someone unequivocally loves u, especially when u don't feel u deserve it. My mother always says Tolu I can now die happy because of the hubby God gave u. Even though he annoys me atimes lol, I love him with every fibre of my being. I dont know if that's a testimony but it's my story. In the midst of life's craziness, I know one thing I can always give thanks for.

  5. Well i'm not married but God has been very faithful. Graduated with a 2.1, served and got a fantastic job immediately after. My parents dont have much but with my job I am very independent, I pay for my apartment and I just bought a car. And my career is looking very promising.
I'm believing that God will also bless my marriage, I try not to listen to all the negative stories so that they dont jinx me.

  8. My life is a testimony, the enemy has aimed for my life several times, but God has always pulled me out of darkness. No matter how many times I'm struck down, I rise again. Then God blessed me with the most amazing life mate. My husband is really one that defies the norm, I truly believe I'm the luckiest girl alive. This man loved me as a size 10 and also as a size 18 when I blew up in pregnancy, he never made me feel anything less than beautiful. At the end of all that pregnancy weight and hormones I lost my baby at birth and this man has cried with me, prayed with me and prays for me. He ached as I ached. When I told him I can't go thru it all again he told me children or no children it's me he married and me he loves. He fightes my battles and fights for us. He is a hardworker and a provider. I can't think of him and not be overwhelmed with intense love. He is not perfect but he tries he damn hardest. He always ask me what he can do to make me happy. Even when he is angry with me he doesn't hold a grudge. Maybe God has seen the ups and downs of my life and sent me his best because he is definitely my best. My Oyeyemi definitely defiles the norm. I love him to the moon and back.

  10. Everyday for me is a great day and a gift from God because He has kept me alive inspite of all I have been through, I have beaten all the odds to be where I am today; not so good at writing but this space wont be enough if I could write.
My life is a testimony of God's mercy and I just want to thank God for everything including the challenges that I have to go through everyday.

  11. Every day is a blessing for me and I am thankful to God for that. I don't have much in terms of material wealth, not in a relationship, but I am happy because I know I have been blessed beyond measure and for me everyday that I get to wake up is a miracle and that is enough to keep me smiling.

  12. I just finished my last exam and i've been job hunting so I do hope I get something soon.randomly started talking to a guy who isn't in my country. I do enjoy how expressive he is compared to my ex which is very refreshing. He wants a relationship but I'm worried about long distance . we've been talking for close to 3 weeks so I'm not rushing anything but I'm willing to take a risk if things don't turn left..lets just see how things go and can't wait to start working..hopefully before graduation

  13. Hi, My name is bride2mum,lol! as I have a blog…Thelma your blog rocks and I love it! just found out about it when you commented on my blog and it is simply amazing.

My love story is simply put " too good to be true" I met a great guy over the phone as a friend introduced us to each other to just be friends and we were friends for close to a year before we dated, he was consistent, romantic and just perfect( of course he has his imperfections) lollll but he suits me, he is the only one that has made me shed tears of joy and he loves to surprise me, make me happy and a lot of stuff he does, I shall share on my blog…He has been this way since dating and haven't changed one bit. I love him so much and if I share the story it will definitely be too long for all of us….well I am so grateful, I have known if for four years now and in those four years he has not changed, he even gets better by the day, he has been my strength, my strongest support, even brought up the idea of my blogging…he has been my everything. God has blessed us with a daughter and everyday pretty much is fun….Trust me, best believe it, fairy tales are real but there will be little arguments of course but you are excited 99.9 percent of the time. I wish all you guys great marriages…Amen

  14. My love story started when i was 16 going on to 17, i met this handsome dude and very gentle in the compound where i stayed with my parents. he was staying with his elder brother then, we fell in love as usual and we dated for nine years even though we broke up for like a year and half. Now we are happily married and am so blessed to be married to my best friend and life partner. Even when i lost my pregnancy last year, he stood by me and he still stands by me. Marriage is not as easy as some people make it sound but when you are married to your God's Chosen One and your best friend i bet you cant ask for more. I call him World's Best Hubby, Ademi, Love you till Eternity.

  15. Where do I even start from?how do I describe God's faithfulness to me in all ways and at all times..let me share 2 of my experience with you
..As a masscom student,in my 300levels,we offer a compulsory course, statistics, naturally I hate figures, xcept money, lol, carry over isn't an option so I tried all I could to get a good grade or a 'let my people go' grade..I studied so hard for this course,on the examination day, when I saw the question,I swear I forgot all I read, mind you,the lecturer taking this course is a 'no go area' and even if he is,I don't av such mind.
I practically forgot all I read seeing d question, you need to see how I was crying in d hall,I cried through out d hours of d exam.I remembered 5min to submission,I said"dear God I will fail this course only if I didn't prepare for it,I need a miracle'that was all I said with tears in my eyes.when result came out I scored 57 and d highest scored 60.I didn't know ow this happened till date.I know its hard to believe but it happened to me!sombody praise the lord!

  17. I've had a lot of "this can only be God" moments but the one that sticks most is becoming a mother few years after I was diagnosed as having a divided uterus, hence inability to get pregnant. I must confess a lot of things went in between but without surgery (which the Doctor prescribed-mentioned it would give me a 50-50 chance of remaining barren or becoming a mother of one child), I have birthed three adorable children....

Turia Pitt Suffered 65% Burns But Loved Conquered All...

Amazing Story Shared by Dr. Ben Carson on Facebook, i thought it is inspiring and i decided to share;

The Australian ex-model Turia Pitt suffered burns to 65 per cent of her body, lost her fingers and thumb on her right hand and spent five months in hospital after she was trapped by a grassfire in a 100 kilometre ultra-marathon in the Kimberley. Her boyfriend decided to quit his job to care for her recovery.
Days ago, in an interview for CNN they asked him:
"Did you at any moment think about leaving her and hiring someone to take care of her and moving on with your life?"

His reply touched the world:

"I married her soul, her character, and she's the only woman that will continue to fulfill my dreams."

This made me very reflective. I just wonder; if the person you love today encounters an incident or accident that transforms who they are physically, it could be amputation, it could be paralysis, it could be severe burns that scald their flesh beyond recognition, w…

#WriteRight. VIVIAN: MY FIRST SEX EXPERIENCE WITH MY BOYFRIEND

He was my coursemate, crush, then my boyfriend.... he was super

After listening to a song "IF YOU LOVE SOMEBODY TELL THEM THAT YOU
LOVE THEM and watching the season film of The Secret Life of
American Teenagers. ..when Amy Jeugerns mum told her "you are only
young once". LOL that part got me.
Hope you know what i mean?

So one thing led to another till one unusual Saturday. I invited
him to my house and he came. The guy got swag, he even came

...

Good morning people!
Just checking in to sign the register. Lol. It's been a very busy week and it looks like it might be an even busier weekend. I was hoping to get some writing done when I got to the airport yesterday but I even almost missed my flight. It was hopeless trying to do any work on the plane as it was bumpy af, and this toddler behind me wouldn't stop screaming in piercing shrieks like he was being exorcised.
I got into town pretty late and needed to keep an appointment ASAP. I'm heading out right now and it's going to be a long day, but thought I should drop this first.
Have a splendid day. Im'ma be back soon.

THE ‘NEW’ SIDE CHICK: I WAS HER

A side chick is commonly known as a mistress or a woman that’s romantically involved with a man who is in a committed relationship.  However after doing some reflecting, I realize that’s not the only type of side chick.  I want to discuss “the new side chick”–a woman who decides to stay by a man’s side after he has expressed his lack of relationship intentions with her through his words or actions.  So many women have made this mistake at least once in their lifetime, and unfortunately I’ve done the same thing. I like to think of the new side chick as an appetizer.  You’re there just to satisfy the immediate appetite of the man, but as soon as that mouth-watering entrée comes out to the table, you will get pushed to the side, literally.  Why?  Because that entrée is what he really wanted; he went to the restaurant to order steak, not hot wings.  You were just a placeholder, fling, temporary commitment, or  maybe even just a “good ol time” until what he really wanted was presented to hi…

One More Post...

Shhhhhhh....

I'm in an amebo mood tonight. Don't ask me, I honestly don't know why. Also I'd like to share too but I'd do that anonymously in the comment section. Tonight I want to talk about secrets. It's ok, we can all be anonymous.
Is it true that EVERYBODY has a secret?
Is there anyone here who doesn't have a secret? I'd really like to know; You're a completely open book and there's not ONE thing about you that you wouldn't mind other people knowing about? Please raise your hands up.
And for the rest of us, what's something about you that no one knows, or very few people know? Who's got a dark secret here, or a weird one, or a funny one even? I really don't mean to be invasive but I don't want to be the only one sharing, plus I think hearing other people's secrets is quite fun, don't you think?

Let's Be Random Together! (Open Keypad).

Hey guys, a while back blog reader F said something about creating an Open Keypad post, where you can write whatever you want in the comment section. I thought it was a fun idea!
So who is interested? Comment on anything you feel like, ask me or anyone a question, talk about how your day went, your job, your interests, tell us something about you that we don't know, share a testimony with us, rant about anything you feel like, talk about your crush/boo/spouse/relationship/marriage, challenges you're facing, ANYTHING AT ALL!
I'll only make one request; that we stay civil.

(F it was you who made this suggestion, right? I'm not too sure and I can't even remember the post the comment was made on).
BTW please Ejoeccome out come out, wherever you are!
