Hey guys! So I just got back from the movies. Earlier in the day I remembered it was Wednesday and knowing my evening would be free I quickly went online to check what is showing at the movies. Immediately I saw the name I only prayed it will be showing after working hours because the name alone told me that that was what I wanted to watch; The Other Woman. Seriously YOU need to see this movie. Chickflick it is but everybody had an insane time, male and female alike.
Now this movie is hilarious but there was a take home for me and I'm excited to share it with you guys.
I'm sorry if this is a spoiler but don't worry I won't tell anything you won't get in the Movie's synopsis (in case you're planning to watch it). So basically there's the hot rich guy, let's call him Mr Hotstuff. Mr Hotstuff is married but dating Miss Smart. They have a steamy hot relationship, Miss Smart isn't aware he's married. Miss Smart decides to surprise him at home one evening and meets his wife Mrs Nice. So that's how they both found out they were both being cheated on. Mrs Nice went to pay Mrs Smart a visit and somehow they became friends. In the course of this friendship they found out that they weren't the only ones in the love circle. And that's how they tracked down the young bombshell, we'll call her Miss Boobs. These three women bond over being deceived and cheated on by the same man and they formed the perfect plan to fuck him up. As in completely fuck him up! And boy did they fuck him up! Hahahahaha.
I watched this and naturally it got me thinking. If we as women had each other's backs this way there will be very few tales of "the other woman". If we stood our grounds and decided not to be used as instruments of home/relationship-wreckage, then philandering men will surely think twice before stepping out on Madam.
Another thing that raised my brows is a question I've asked myself since my QC days, why does a woman find out her man is cheating and attacks the other woman instead of the man? I cannot say this enough, it can never be overstated; the other woman did not cheat on you, YOUR MAN DID!!!
Anyways I know nothing is cut and dried and people deal with hurt in different ways but these were my thoughts as I watched the movie.
And as for the guy, men like that full everywhere; Mr Hot, Handsome and Rich. I've come across some men like that, men who feel that they're too much for one woman alone, like one woman just can't handle all this hotness. Or they see themselves as some sort of charity that should be shared to all the ladies because they're just too much. I pray God delivers such men. (I'm itching to curse but since I've got a few philandering friends, I can only pray for them).
I've got a movie date tomorrow and I think I will see this movie again. I can hardly wait to laugh my head off one more time.
Have an awesome night beautiful people.
Steele, welcome back my darling, @ImpurfectHer I'm still looking for you.
