I've heard some revenge stories that can best be described as 'Cold'. Some people have been hurt and betrayed so badly that they will do anything to ensure that the person who made them feel that way get what's coming to them.

"My boyfriend at the time cheated on me and the girl he cheated with made a point of going round and telling everyone in our little town. It humiliated me. I made a fake Facebook account pretending to be a boy, added her and talked to her for 8 months becoming ‘her confidante’. She told me all her secrets. I then got to the stage where I asked her to send me naked pictures; and she did. The pictures got put all over town, along with print screens of her secrets in message. She got kicked out of school, her family disowned her. It ruined her life – she got so much abuse over it she had to move to a different town where last I heard she’s unemployed and living in a dump because her parents disowned her and she has no money of her own. She has no idea who ‘the boy’ really was.

I don’t regret it one bit."

Wow! I'm more of a 'vengeance is mine, sayeth The Lord chic' but sometimes I've wanted to pay someone back so badly it kept me awake at night. The only time I remember 'attempting' revenge was this:

Beginning from first week at a law firm one of my colleagues would always play dumb and make me explain things over and over again. If we were asked to do something he'll come to me to explain and thereby voice out my ideas. Soon I realized that before I'd turn anything in he had already gone to meet our superiors with MY IDEAS. That always left me falling short and made me look like I was slacking and also like a big olodo. So, I started telling him crap. I would tell him a whole load of Bullsh*t and he would fall for it and go meet our bosses with the bullsh*t. Soon they began to reprimand and ridicule him. It took him a while to figure I'd been messing with him and he never tried to cross me after that.

My friend was dating this married guy several years ago and when he felt he was done with her he wanted to dump her like a nasty habit. Babe wasn't having any of it because (after all) he was the one who toasted her and persuaded her to date him. She befriended his wife and became so close to her that she became a regular house guest of theirs. She ended up collecting a huge sum of money from him to buy her silence.

Oh well....

So guys, has anyone ever crossed you so badly that you couldn't wait for God's vengeance and decided to take matters into your own hands? How did it go?

Do you believe in waiting for Karma or would you rather plot revenge?

Let's talk.

(The first comment is from thought catalogue).

  1. I don't believe in Karma, I take shit into my own hands. My ex cheated on me and I dented his car, windshield and deflated his tires. btw I took his money too. Karma ba wo?

  2. Lol. I am a regular commenter on the blog. I will go annonymous. My ex was very bad to me. I took matters into my own hands and got his utilities disconnected in the estate he lived in. It got bad enough that he had to pay about n5million for all the illegal bypasses he did on the meter. They cut him off for 3 weeks. He illegally tried to reconnect, and they caught him. His mother apparently was the tenant on record so she even went to beg. Lol. That one i couldnt leave for God. May he forgive me sha.

  3. Though I blive in karma, but I still want my revenge. I told my ex-boyfrnd my deepest secret(we were still dating den). Sometin ve never told any1 b4. Well dey sed love is BLIND. D stupid guy went 2 cast me out, told his frnds evryting, dey strtd using it humilate me. Yesterday we had an argument and him and his frnds beat and almost rape me, I went to report d dem to d south african police. But arestin dem is nt all I want. I want dem to suffer 4 d hurt and shame dey ve put me tru..4 all thoes nights I cried my eyes out.. Oh God help me so dat I won't commit murder..

    1. Wait. What? Anon I hope you have enough evidence of what happened yesterday. I understand the need to make them pay but you made the right move by reporting to the authorities, thank God you're not in Nigeria. My dear make sure you see to it that justice is enforced. Assault and battery and attempted rape are not light offenses. Those guys should all serve time. Please babe it's in the hands of the authorities, allow them to do their jobs. Don't do something that will land you in the hands of the police as well. Those bastards are not worth it.

    2. Anon are you sure about what happened? Nawa o!

  4. LOL, na wa oh!!! I do think about revenge too but.......
Am with U on this one T. Am the leave vengeance for the lord chic, U know why?

Cos when Karma visits those who've hurt me (esp Men), Karma will servethem a better 6course meal than i'll ever be able to prepare. Plus I would have healed from the pain they caused & have enough freedom to really Laugh out LOUD!!! As in totally ROTFL!

  5. I've been tempted a couple of times to revenge but I've never found the 'liver' to pull the plan through. Sometimes though, I find myself wishing the person(s) involved all manners of ill-fated events but deep down in my mind, I know I couldn't ever want them in real life to pass through any of those wishes. However, I am almost 100% sure that if I go back to my (ex) husband, I would unleash more terror than Jezebel did. In fact, I would firstly ask God to forgive me for losing me because I would be so bad that even hell would want to reject me-reason I made up my mind not to go back.

    1. See Babe, its NEVER worth it... Vengeance doesn't feel cool after It is done. So no reason why u shud do it

    2. @ F, your story will be highly appreciated, if you've healed enough to share. Thanks

    3. @ F, your story will be highly appreciated, if you've healed enough to share.

  6. Karma is the sexiest bitch I know and she's never failed to show up when I need her, so I never bother about revenge. I just buy popcorn and take the front seat row to watch her do my dirty business.

  7. I believe vengeance is the Lord's, I have been tempted though.....

  8. I'm neither team "vengeance is the lord's" nor "revenge is mine" kinda person..I personally don't allow whatever wrong was done to me bother me or maybe it's cos "I no get enough liver"..

  9. Av been in situations like dat, I don't just av dat courage 2 pay evil 4 evil...let karma just take control

  10. I believe in Karma and Nemesis, and yes, I am so tempted several times to revenge, but I hold myself and vent out my anger either with tears or expletives, because there is a saying; One should be careful when one wants to kill a fly, because one might end up slapping oneself. GOD has being faithful, and several times, I have been vindicated. Vengeance is mine, says the Lord. Btw, I like that saying up there. #pointing#

  11. I hv been tempted severally.....but for GOD!

Turia Pitt Suffered 65% Burns But Loved Conquered All...

Amazing Story Shared by Dr. Ben Carson on Facebook, i thought it is inspiring and i decided to share;

The Australian ex-model Turia Pitt suffered burns to 65 per cent of her body, lost her fingers and thumb on her right hand and spent five months in hospital after she was trapped by a grassfire in a 100 kilometre ultra-marathon in the Kimberley. Her boyfriend decided to quit his job to care for her recovery.
Days ago, in an interview for CNN they asked him:
"Did you at any moment think about leaving her and hiring someone to take care of her and moving on with your life?"

His reply touched the world:

"I married her soul, her character, and she's the only woman that will continue to fulfill my dreams."

This made me very reflective. I just wonder; if the person you love today encounters an incident or accident that transforms who they are physically, it could be amputation, it could be paralysis, it could be severe burns that scald their flesh beyond recognition, w…

Good morning people!
Just checking in to sign the register. Lol. It's been a very busy week and it looks like it might be an even busier weekend. I was hoping to get some writing done when I got to the airport yesterday but I even almost missed my flight. It was hopeless trying to do any work on the plane as it was bumpy af, and this toddler behind me wouldn't stop screaming in piercing shrieks like he was being exorcised.
I got into town pretty late and needed to keep an appointment ASAP. I'm heading out right now and it's going to be a long day, but thought I should drop this first.
Have a splendid day. Im'ma be back soon.

One More Post...

He was my coursemate, crush, then my boyfriend.... he was super
intelligent, smart, tall, dark and handsome. Believe me he got
swag, but he didn't seem to notice me. (I'm a nerd but a sassy one
if I say so myself).  So oneday I decided to take it to another level..
After listening to a song "IF YOU LOVE SOMEBODY TELL THEM THAT YOU
LOVE THEM and watching the season film of The Secret Life of
American Teenagers. ..when Amy Jeugerns mum told her "you are only
young once". LOL that part got me.
Hope you know what i mean?

Though I'm okay with chemistry class I approached him to coach me for
the Quiz that was coming up, we found out that we had this
great chemistry between us.. hehehe both the covalent and
electrovalent bonds....

So one thing led to another till one unusual Saturday. I invited
him to my house and he came. The guy got swag, he even came
with a packet of durex condom.
We talked for a while and and and and and and
See how you are serious dey read this story....!

A side chick is commonly known as a mistress or a woman that’s romantically involved with a man who is in a committed relationship.  However after doing some reflecting, I realize that’s not the only type of side chick.  I want to discuss “the new side chick”–a woman who decides to stay by a man’s side after he has expressed his lack of relationship intentions with her through his words or actions.  So many women have made this mistake at least once in their lifetime, and unfortunately I’ve done the same thing. I like to think of the new side chick as an appetizer.  You’re there just to satisfy the immediate appetite of the man, but as soon as that mouth-watering entrée comes out to the table, you will get pushed to the side, literally.  Why?  Because that entrée is what he really wanted; he went to the restaurant to order steak, not hot wings.  You were just a placeholder, fling, temporary commitment, or  maybe even just a “good ol time” until what he really wanted was presented to hi…

I'm in an amebo mood tonight. Don't ask me, I honestly don't know why. Also I'd like to share too but I'd do that anonymously in the comment section. Tonight I want to talk about secrets. It's ok, we can all be anonymous.
Is it true that EVERYBODY has a secret?
Is there anyone here who doesn't have a secret? I'd really like to know; You're a completely open book and there's not ONE thing about you that you wouldn't mind other people knowing about? Please raise your hands up.
And for the rest of us, what's something about you that no one knows, or very few people know? Who's got a dark secret here, or a weird one, or a funny one even? I really don't mean to be invasive but I don't want to be the only one sharing, plus I think hearing other people's secrets is quite fun, don't you think?

Let's Be Random Together! (Open Keypad).

Hey guys, a while back blog reader F said something about creating an Open Keypad post, where you can write whatever you want in the comment section. I thought it was a fun idea!
So who is interested? Comment on anything you feel like, ask me or anyone a question, talk about how your day went, your job, your interests, tell us something about you that we don't know, share a testimony with us, rant about anything you feel like, talk about your crush/boo/spouse/relationship/marriage, challenges you're facing, ANYTHING AT ALL!
I'll only make one request; that we stay civil.

(F it was you who made this suggestion, right? I'm not too sure and I can't even remember the post the comment was made on).
BTW please Ejoeccome out come out, wherever you are!

Question of The Day.

TTB readers doesn't this tweet below remind you of something?
That mail that someone sent me a few weeks back.
But why on earth should a man sleep with his son's fiancé? But what am I saying, some men even sleep with their daughters...

Oh well, I'm throwing the question to you. What has happened in your life that you never saw coming, you never hesperred it, you never imagined could happen, you never imagined could happen to you?
It could be good, it could be bad, it could be ugly. Do tell!
And it can be more than one. Let me tell you a few.
-owning a blog -week long dry fast at Prayer City (I never hesperred it).  -staying in an (emotionally) abusive relationship.
The others require anonymity. LOL. Now over to you.
