Caption This.

I saw this picture on Facebook and I'm not sure where it happened. I feel so sorry for this chica. Moreover what she's wearing isn't so bad so I don't see what the fuss is all about or the reason they're embarassing the poor lass.

Sorry to spark a debate but I'm just gon have to.
I couldn't help but notice that it's other women who are ridiculing and embarassing this lady. Why do women have crab mentality? No we can't all be 'besties" or form a "sisterhood" or whatever, but why do we like to pull other women down?
Why is it so hard for women to stand up for each other? We struggle for equality and there's a constant battle of the sexes when the bigger war is between ourselves... Isn't it ironic?

Isn't it funny that in villages when a woman is newly widowed it's the other women that accuse her of killing her husband, scraping her hair and forcing the water used to wash his corpse down her throat?

Or when you read blog posts about Toolz, Toke or other popular female celebs it's other women that call Toolz a whale or other demeaning names, it's other women that insult Toke?

Ok, I was honestly just going to leave it at "Caption This" but I took a closer look at the picture and I'm rolling my eyes; women hating women. How typical.

Comments

  1. What she's wearing isn't bad now, It just had to be fellow women doing this. Very typical.

  2. I think the reason she's getting all the attention is because its not the norm were she is, Look at how all the other people in the pic are dressed.
Or it could be any of those petty things some girls do like boyfriend snatcher, caught in the act with a lecturer, campus prostitute, the list is endless.

  3. Lol...prolly a movie scene?
And on women hating on women, that's as old as history itself. I'm guessing women like Laveren Cox wldnt be wired in that manner...

  4. It's just insecurity and jealousy...it happened in a Christian university in nija apparently. ..

  5. LOL, poor girl. But like the anon above said, it's probably because it's not the usual way ladies dress where she is. Or could it be the morning walk of shame?lol

  6. The girl is apparently making a non-conformist statement in the environment where she is....

  7. Can't help but lol....notice her look?she giving them the ..am a bitch,so what look....women would always be jealous of each other...don't what to use the word hate....either she has a finer skin, she always fixes Brazilian hair or she always has the finest boys...so thats women for you....that naughty house wife

  8. It pisses me off. What she is wearing is not even all that bad. We keep teaching women to cover their body. How about we teach the men not to look. Look away. Control your penis.

    1. Sweetie don't bring men into this. This post is entirely talking about the nonsense you women do to each other, ok?

    2. I don't know if you can teach men not to look oh besides we women dress provocatively most times to grab male attention. We women also like to know we have the ability to turn men on so when we dress a certain way we should all be ready for the type of attention we get

    3. Thank you Anon 3:11pm. You're so blinded by your man-hate that you cannot see that this post has nothing to do with men.

    4. Anon 3.11pm, you can make your point without calling me sweetie.
Anon 4.11pm, how about you tell that to the schools and churches that don't allow girls wearing short sleeved dresses into their premises. I don't know when the armpit became an attractive attribute of a woman. This post has everything thing to do with a man. When I dress, decently or indecently it is purported by the society that I am dressing to attract a man. How about I just want to please myself. Is that such a difficult theory to comprehend?
P.S I don't hate men. Why can't I make a comment criticising something I find irritating without someone using this cliché word - Man-hate - on me?

    5. About the post, I refuse to see that. I blame it on the society that has taught women to shrink themselves. So when they see another woman who is bolder than they are, they want to shrink her too. And by the society, I mean men (Yes I said that, shoot me)

  10. Depends on where she is and she looks some how maybe an international student of some one that just moved back to Nigeria. On several occasions i've had my mum and elder brother tell me to go change when I'm in Nigeria, that what I'm wearing is not suitable for the country I'm in because a lot of people will make a scene. It all depends on her been comfortable, and she looks like she is confident so good luck to her, I personally do not see it as bad , but I will not wear such during the day especially in Nigeria, we are not ready a lot of the are backwards.

If it happened in a Christian University. She was probably trying to get expelled and go to where she can dress the way she pleases. Women hating on women? As it was in the beginning, so it is now and ever shall be.

  20. Read it yesterday and it's in one of the Christian University where such out fit is not allowed. But seeing that as an adult, nothing is wrong with her style as far as I'm concern (damn the rules, they are meant to be broken and Freedom is free). The others making a mockery of her by snapping and booing are the hypocrites. Cant always seem to comprehend why WOMEN HATES WOMEN. We are our own enemies - due to envy and insecurity. Haba! give the cute, sweet chic a BREAK please. Phew!

Turia Pitt Suffered 65% Burns But Loved Conquered All...

Amazing Story Shared by Dr. Ben Carson on Facebook, i thought it is inspiring and i decided to share;

The Australian ex-model Turia Pitt suffered burns to 65 per cent of her body, lost her fingers and thumb on her right hand and spent five months in hospital after she was trapped by a grassfire in a 100 kilometre ultra-marathon in the Kimberley. Her boyfriend decided to quit his job to care for her recovery.
Days ago, in an interview for CNN they asked him:
"Did you at any moment think about leaving her and hiring someone to take care of her and moving on with your life?"

His reply touched the world:

"I married her soul, her character, and she's the only woman that will continue to fulfill my dreams."

This made me very reflective. I just wonder; if the person you love today encounters an incident or accident that transforms who they are physically, it could be amputation, it could be paralysis, it could be severe burns that scald their flesh beyond recognition, w…

Good morning people!
Just checking in to sign the register. Lol. It's been a very busy week and it looks like it might be an even busier weekend. I was hoping to get some writing done when I got to the airport yesterday but I even almost missed my flight. It was hopeless trying to do any work on the plane as it was bumpy af, and this toddler behind me wouldn't stop screaming in piercing shrieks like he was being exorcised.
I got into town pretty late and needed to keep an appointment ASAP. I'm heading out right now and it's going to be a long day, but thought I should drop this first.
Have a splendid day. Im'ma be back soon.

THE ‘NEW’ SIDE CHICK: I WAS HER

A side chick is commonly known as a mistress or a woman that’s romantically involved with a man who is in a committed relationship.  However after doing some reflecting, I realize that’s not the only type of side chick.  I want to discuss “the new side chick”–a woman who decides to stay by a man’s side after he has expressed his lack of relationship intentions with her through his words or actions.  So many women have made this mistake at least once in their lifetime, and unfortunately I’ve done the same thing. I like to think of the new side chick as an appetizer.  You’re there just to satisfy the immediate appetite of the man, but as soon as that mouth-watering entrée comes out to the table, you will get pushed to the side, literally.  Why?  Because that entrée is what he really wanted; he went to the restaurant to order steak, not hot wings.  You were just a placeholder, fling, temporary commitment, or  maybe even just a “good ol time” until what he really wanted was presented to hi…

Shhhhhhh....

I'm in an amebo mood tonight. Don't ask me, I honestly don't know why. Also I'd like to share too but I'd do that anonymously in the comment section. Tonight I want to talk about secrets. It's ok, we can all be anonymous.
Is it true that EVERYBODY has a secret?
Is there anyone here who doesn't have a secret? I'd really like to know; You're a completely open book and there's not ONE thing about you that you wouldn't mind other people knowing about? Please raise your hands up.
And for the rest of us, what's something about you that no one knows, or very few people know? Who's got a dark secret here, or a weird one, or a funny one even? I really don't mean to be invasive but I don't want to be the only one sharing, plus I think hearing other people's secrets is quite fun, don't you think?

Let's Be Random Together! (Open Keypad).

Hey guys, a while back blog reader F said something about creating an Open Keypad post, where you can write whatever you want in the comment section. I thought it was a fun idea!
So who is interested? Comment on anything you feel like, ask me or anyone a question, talk about how your day went, your job, your interests, tell us something about you that we don't know, share a testimony with us, rant about anything you feel like, talk about your crush/boo/spouse/relationship/marriage, challenges you're facing, ANYTHING AT ALL!
I'll only make one request; that we stay civil.

(F it was you who made this suggestion, right? I'm not too sure and I can't even remember the post the comment was made on).
BTW please Ejoeccome out come out, wherever you are!
