Sometime this night my friend and I went to buy a few things and while returning home I drove into a pool of water and a tire got hinged to something and the car got stuck. Panicked, I had to come out, as did my friend. Several cars stopped and the drivers asked if they could help or proffered solution. My friend and I had already decided to walk down the road to where some bike men were so we told them all we were ok. However, one of them refused to just offer sympathy and advice and parked his car and came to find out what the problem was. When he realized it wasn't something he could do, I told him not to bother as we were already going to look for help, he said I shouldn't worry and made some phone calls, apparently we needed more than to have the car lifted, we needed a rope or chain to have my car towed. We both switched off our engines and got talking while my friend chilled in the car.
It took his people over an hour to get there but in all that time he was patient and cheerful and actually distracted me with gist and funny anecdotes and I didn't even notice when time flew. When they finally came and did what they had to do he paid them off and told them good night.
So guys, chivalry really isn't dead. Don't mind me I'm just always touched by random acts of kindness especially from strangers who know they'll get nothing in return. And also he saved me from paying through my nose which I might have had to do if I had to go and call the men down the road. *Pheeew*.
And on that note I say goodnight. *Big squishy hugs and kisses all over your face*!
And Vivadrew I hope you had a splendid birthday! Many many more beautiful years ahead Hun! Please when is any celebrant ever going to send me caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaake? God's blessings Viv.
