If It Doesn't Look Stupid Then It's Not God That Did It.

Good morning guys. Have you ever tried to dare God? Sometimes we put God in a box, we put a limit to the things He can do for us, because err, asking for this or that is too big?

God is God not man. If you're asking him for the possible then why don't you just ask your colleague, your friend, your boss, your bae? God is a God of impossibilities, of difficult situations, a mountain moving God!

In service yesterday a pastor said "if it doesn't look stupid then it's not God that did it". You know why he said that; God is a God that breaks protocols, his miracles defy logic and normalcy, His ways are not ours and they are beyond our own comprehension sometimes. He is the God that fetches water with the basket to disgrace the bucket. This God!

I told you guys my month didn't start too well. I went home to my parents' and the three of us joined hands to agree in prayer. I heard myself bursting out in laughter even as I was crying, it suddenly occurred to me and I challenged God; in at least three parts of the Bible YOU said or asked is there anything too difficult for YOU?

Absolutely nothing, I believe.

So that your situation that you think is beyond salvation, that circumstance that's beyond redemption, that hope that's almost inexistent, that mountain that's so big and fierce... God is a God of impossibilities, don't put Him in a box, DO NOT underutilize Him. Ask with faith, trusting in Him, believing that no matter how big it might be, there is NOTHING too difficult for him to do.

And I really don't care about how pathetic or hopeless your situation is, boo most people don't have it easy. As in, right now I have no sympathy to give anyone, all I can do is ask you is "Have you tried God?". And oh, do not put Him in a box, He knows the plans He has for you. It may not be when you want it, it may not be how you want it or expect it, but it will most certainly be greater than your expectations, and beyond that, it will be whole.

Good morning guys!

Jer 32:27 ; Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
Gen 18:14; Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.
Luk 18:27 ; And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

  1. This was very nice to read at 3am. I haven't been to church for a long time and also read the bible..I don't even know where my bible is so I downloaded a bible app. Finally I read a chapter that I think had to do with confidence. Proverbs 3:1-8 and I felt great. I do hope to continue daily..

  2. Ephesians 3.20 is a good one. I always remind myself of this one. Give it all to God.

  3. Wow, 'if it doesn't look stupid then it's not God that did it'.. This is something I really need like now, I have this situation and I have just learnt to LET GO AND LET GOD, God works in such a way that His glory cannot be shared with anyone, that's why he does things and you are dumbfounded, people around you are amazed, nothing is too hard for my God.. Am excited!!

  4. Thelma how many times will I tell you this? I won't get tired of saying it though: YOU ARE BLESSED!! This just brightened my day. #powerful hugs#

  5. Let me also add: do not feel your sins are too much or too dark for GOD to hold a grudge against you. If HE did, you won't be breathing this moment. Go to HIM, however you are, and HE will give you peace. Stay blessed people.

    1. Satan uses sin consciousness to make us feel inferior

    2. Just as if u knw wat has bin on my mind 4 a while nw....ur comment hs just given me a new kind of hope.....My sins r nt too much 4 God to hold a grudge against me #deep

  6. Beautiful message Thelma, just to add on another verse that I read this morning, Romans 8:32 "He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?"

  7. All I did was "SMILE". Thanks T Darling!

  8. word!! #pensive nodding

  9. Well, it can be explained, its not a miracle

  10. This is absolutely wonderful.Thank you Thelma!!!

  11. GOD is just awesome! HE does things the way HE does them so no one can lay a claim or share his glory. Awesome, awesome God.

Some things have happened in my life that I knew only GOD could have pulled them through.

p.s. I love that you are growing more and more in His word and presence. More power and strength to you.

  12. Awesome read!!! Sometimes I forget... Thanks for reminding me! God bless you Thelma!!! **bear hug**

  13. This post made me smile, piece by piece we are all getting it.Theres no room for common sense where it has to do with God.

  14. Goodmorning pastor Thelma. Thanks for this post.God is God. !he is the one that wipes ones tears not with an handkerchief but with a miracle.indescribable God!

  17. Ps:there is a giveaway everyday/every other day on my blog till christmas, not because i have a lot, but i realise God has been faithful. Today is a box of cupcakes.

  18. Yes. God does wonders! He likes to show off :D
    I love Him

  19. Awww thanks for this T, wish i had seen this before we spoke. I know God is about to do something great in your life. Also,

"But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are" - 1 Corinthians 1:27

  20. Waymaker God, Overdo God, Omalicha Chim ...I call him.
God did some showoff today, he just reminded me that he alone is God all by himself. Do you believe in miracles? Well I had one today.

Turia Pitt Suffered 65% Burns But Loved Conquered All...

Amazing Story Shared by Dr. Ben Carson on Facebook, i thought it is inspiring and i decided to share;

The Australian ex-model Turia Pitt suffered burns to 65 per cent of her body, lost her fingers and thumb on her right hand and spent five months in hospital after she was trapped by a grassfire in a 100 kilometre ultra-marathon in the Kimberley. Her boyfriend decided to quit his job to care for her recovery.
Days ago, in an interview for CNN they asked him:
"Did you at any moment think about leaving her and hiring someone to take care of her and moving on with your life?"

His reply touched the world:

"I married her soul, her character, and she's the only woman that will continue to fulfill my dreams."

This made me very reflective. I just wonder; if the person you love today encounters an incident or accident that transforms who they are physically, it could be amputation, it could be paralysis, it could be severe burns that scald their flesh beyond recognition, w…

Good morning people!
Just checking in to sign the register. Lol. It's been a very busy week and it looks like it might be an even busier weekend. I was hoping to get some writing done when I got to the airport yesterday but I even almost missed my flight. It was hopeless trying to do any work on the plane as it was bumpy af, and this toddler behind me wouldn't stop screaming in piercing shrieks like he was being exorcised.
I got into town pretty late and needed to keep an appointment ASAP. I'm heading out right now and it's going to be a long day, but thought I should drop this first.
Have a splendid day. Im'ma be back soon.

One More Post...

He was my coursemate, crush, then my boyfriend.... he was super
intelligent, smart, tall, dark and handsome. Believe me he got
swag, but he didn't seem to notice me. (I'm a nerd but a sassy one
if I say so myself).  So oneday I decided to take it to another level..
After listening to a song "IF YOU LOVE SOMEBODY TELL THEM THAT YOU
LOVE THEM and watching the season film of The Secret Life of
American Teenagers. ..when Amy Jeugerns mum told her "you are only
young once". LOL that part got me.
Hope you know what i mean?

Though I'm okay with chemistry class I approached him to coach me for
the Quiz that was coming up, we found out that we had this
great chemistry between us.. hehehe both the covalent and
electrovalent bonds....

So one thing led to another till one unusual Saturday. I invited
him to my house and he came. The guy got swag, he even came
with a packet of durex condom.
We talked for a while and and and and and and
See how you are serious dey read this story....!

A side chick is commonly known as a mistress or a woman that’s romantically involved with a man who is in a committed relationship.  However after doing some reflecting, I realize that’s not the only type of side chick.  I want to discuss “the new side chick”–a woman who decides to stay by a man’s side after he has expressed his lack of relationship intentions with her through his words or actions.  So many women have made this mistake at least once in their lifetime, and unfortunately I’ve done the same thing. I like to think of the new side chick as an appetizer.  You’re there just to satisfy the immediate appetite of the man, but as soon as that mouth-watering entrée comes out to the table, you will get pushed to the side, literally.  Why?  Because that entrée is what he really wanted; he went to the restaurant to order steak, not hot wings.  You were just a placeholder, fling, temporary commitment, or  maybe even just a “good ol time” until what he really wanted was presented to hi…

I'm in an amebo mood tonight. Don't ask me, I honestly don't know why. Also I'd like to share too but I'd do that anonymously in the comment section. Tonight I want to talk about secrets. It's ok, we can all be anonymous.
Is it true that EVERYBODY has a secret?
Is there anyone here who doesn't have a secret? I'd really like to know; You're a completely open book and there's not ONE thing about you that you wouldn't mind other people knowing about? Please raise your hands up.
And for the rest of us, what's something about you that no one knows, or very few people know? Who's got a dark secret here, or a weird one, or a funny one even? I really don't mean to be invasive but I don't want to be the only one sharing, plus I think hearing other people's secrets is quite fun, don't you think?

Closed Chapter...

Hello everyone, yesterday a friend said to me, Thelma I love your blog, I've told so many people about your blog, I think you're a very good writer but I feel there's something you're not doing right"

This friend was the first person who won our beauty of the day contest back then in 2014. Then we had met just once through a mutual friend. I mentioned the blog to her and she became an instant reader. I wouldn't have exactly called her a friend then but yesterday as we sat down waiting for our Uber to come get us from Wal-Mart, she's definitely my friend and I knew she was coming from a good place when she said she had much higher expectations of my blog.

Me too.

But you see, in the last year or so, maybe even longer than that, I haven't felt much joy in blogging. It began to feel more and more of a laborious chore, one which I hardly reaped any fruits from.

I really love writing, I love sharing my life and my experiences with others and I've enjoy…

Let's Be Random Together! (Open Keypad).

Hey guys, a while back blog reader F said something about creating an Open Keypad post, where you can write whatever you want in the comment section. I thought it was a fun idea!
So who is interested? Comment on anything you feel like, ask me or anyone a question, talk about how your day went, your job, your interests, tell us something about you that we don't know, share a testimony with us, rant about anything you feel like, talk about your crush/boo/spouse/relationship/marriage, challenges you're facing, ANYTHING AT ALL!
I'll only make one request; that we stay civil.

(F it was you who made this suggestion, right? I'm not too sure and I can't even remember the post the comment was made on).
BTW please Ejoeccome out come out, wherever you are!
