During the last Open Keypad post blog reader La Effizy left this comment:
My dad needs tons of prayers. He is back @ d hospital for d 100th time this year. Lol. I actually lol cos I have resigned myself to fate. Its either God wants to heal him, or he wants to take him. But If he wants to take him please let him stop going through so much pain, he is only 58 for crying out loud, and d pain breaks my heart. Dear men, make it a point of duty to go for regular checks too. Breast cancer is real for both sexes, only worse for men (one in a thousand cases) cos there isn't much breast tissues for d cancer to eat up, so it goes straight to your other organs. Sorry for d epistle jare. And no, I am not going anonymous on this one even with the TMI.
Yesterday she mailed to tell me this:
Morning tee. Hope you have been good. My dad bowed out this morning. The cancer finally succeeded. He fought it with all his might, money, prayer and what have you? If money could buy life... I'm so confused right now. the line bw life and death is so thin. I was with him yesterday and we had a long talk. He promised me this sickness won't take him away and I believed him. We were called to the hospital this morning....to be told him died @ 6.3am. I always brought his food @ 8am, yet he couldn't wait for me, even after promising. It is well.
She said I can let you guys know, considering that she shared with us when he was ill. In the previous comment she sounded like she was prepared for whatever might come but hearing from her yesterday it's obvious that she's very shaken.
May your daddy's soul rest in peace my darling.
