What Do You Think About This Bizarre Interview With Jaden & Willow Smith?

Before we get to the interview, I'm reminded of a post I read on an American website some months ago about Jaden Smiths bizarre tweets. For the purpose of this post I dug them out. See below:

Will Smith's children, Willow, 14 and Jaden, 16 are certainly advanced despite their tender years but YOU will be left scratching your heads after reading this new interview the kids recently had with T Magazine.

The siblings got down with the magazine to discuss Prana energy (meditation), school being overrated and how Willow possesses the ability to control time. And here's all they said. But first off, the pair revealed that Willow is currently reading 'quantum physics' while Jaden said he is glossing over an 'ancient text' called The Ancient Secret of the Flower Life [that] can’t be pre-dated'.

About what themes 'recur' in their music:

Jaden said: 'the melancholiness of the ocean; the melancholiness of everything else' while Willow described the feeling of being in a 'holographic reality that a higher consciousness made'.

About school being useless:

The siblings confessed they've already had enough of going to school like normal teenagers.

'I went to school for one year. It was the best experience but the worst experience. The best experience because I was, like, "Oh, now I know why kids are so depressed. But it was the worst experience because I was depressed.'

Jaden took aim at Driver's Ed, suggesting that the amount of car accidents that happen prove school isn't working.

'You never learn anything in school. Think about how many car accidents happen every day. Driver’s ed? What’s up? I still haven’t been to driver’s ed because if everybody I know has been in an accident, I can’t see how driver’s ed is really helping them out. Here’s the deal: School is not authentic because it ends. It’s not true, it’s not real. Our learning will never end. The school that we go to every single morning, we will continue to go to.'

Willow then bizarrely claims that time is a concept that she can control with her mind.

I mean, time for me, I can make it go slow or fast, however I please. That’s how I know it doesn't exist.'

And despite only being fourteen years old, Willow already misses her days as a newborn.

'When they’re in the stomach, [babies are] so aware, putting all their bones together, putting all their ligaments together. But they’re shocked by this harsh world … As they grow up, they start losing.'

Discussing honesty:

Willow suggested that she has started 'caring less and less about what your own mind thinks' in a bid to stop her feeling sad.

Jaden agreed saying
'Exactly. Because your mind has a duality to it. So when one thought goes into your mind, it’s not just one thought, it has to bounce off both hemispheres of the brain.'

Hia! I hear that they're in some new age Scientology cult, which the Jenner girls also belong to (Kylie and Kendall). I dunno how true any of this is, although online research lends it some credence but really. Is this the result of some (occult/spiritual) brainwash or are these children just too over fed and pampered? LOL
I understand that the style of parenting adopted by Will and Jada Smith is that kind where you treat your children like adults and allow them to think for themselves. This is sometimes a good method as children brought up that way end up being very resourceful, independent and self-sufficient. But  biko how much is too much? Where should the line be drawn?

  1. Brainwashing. Very sad.

  2. This is very hilarious and sad at the same time.

  3. They sound totally brainwashed with ideologies they have no business meddling with.
But then again, the weirder the concept of "religion" in Hollywood, the more attractive it is to the celebrities.
Scientology, Meditation, Kabbalah, general spirituality, etc.
Will is a scientologist so that maybe the indoctrination his children have had.

    1. Will Smith isn't a Scientologist..he publicly denied those claims.
I think he once made a statement that implied that he finds the religion fascinating and that's what sparked the rumours

  4. Brainwashed with lots of ideologies they shouldn't even smell. Such scatters the brain. Makes you overthink useless things.

They better get help quick else they start roaming the streets.

  5. I don't know why folks are saying they're brainwashed. These are kids that have been given the freedom to study philosophy, history and religion on their own and choose a way of life for themselves. You may say they were givent too much freedom but calling it Brainwash is wrong.
We on the otherhand that were born into Christian or muslim homes and taught that either of them is the only true religion are the ones that are brainwashed. I don't want to talk too much and offend the religious folks

    1. I totally agree with you. I have a lot to say but I don't want people to start wondering if I'm a Christian ( I AM AND WILL ALWAYS BE). ......... but what the Bible has us as "faith" to an unbeliever will sound like brainwashing. J

  6. I am even confused. But still....awon omokomo

  7. My comment disappeared for the first time ever! I'll be back to comment again but Thelma has to kill a cow for this >(

    1. Memphis.....Welcome to my former world on T's blog.

  8. Menticide.....systematic brainwashing. when I read this interview on Laila's blog this morning, I was chilled to my bones. These kids are gone with the wind. Which one is bringing them up like adults?
Abeg, it's chilling as far as I'm concerned.

  9. I love these kids, all i see is humans with a high IQ, people who are free and are not in bondage like the rest of the world by a way of life and rules set up by a group of people who named it religion. I wish i could ve thr courage, but then again what do i know?

  10. I won't rule on brainwashing. I think they made some sense when Willow talked about time control and Jaden talked about the *organization* of learning. Quite interesting. I can, in a way, relate to that *time control* issue. It's something I've shared only with my late BFF.

When I was 9 years I experienced something really strange one night and it's still fresh in my memory bank. Me, my mum and baby sister were alone in her room. The lights were on. I can't remember when I slept off but I woke up to baby cries. I opened my eyes and saw my mum cuddling her. I checked the time on the wall clock and closed my eyes for a few seconds(or so I thought). I opened them again and noticed that considerable time had elapsed. My mum was fast asleep. I closed my eyes and opened them after few seconds. My mum was breastfeeding and about an hour had gone by. By now I was slightly becoming aware of what was happening. I DELIBERATELY closed my eyes and opened them after some time. Mum wasn't in the room and baby was goo gooing. Yet again, another hour had gone by and it was 4:00am. I did the same thing again, deliberately. 20 minutes had elapsed this time and it was 20minutes past 4 am(I can't forget that). Then I tried it one last time, but the *fun* was over. To me it was weird and a bit of fun. Up until now I don't know what to call it.

Some will argue that when you sleep you actually lose track of time. Few seconds could be hours and vice versa. But in my case, I *controlled* it, after becoming aware of the sequence. Such a thing hasn't happened to me again ever since.

    1. I don't understand o lol

  11. No point discounting or discarding knowledge that is beyond our comprehension. Life will continue to evolve and humans must continue to seek knowledge.

I see children that have been allowed to expand their minds and I hope they can build on what they already have.

    1. Hmmn... all this mind expansion dikwa egwu o. But wasn't it like 2 or 3yrs ago they said Willow couldn't do basic arithmetic because she had skipped school. So this very rapid progression of hers onto quantum physics just sounds like a serious sumteen.
I wouldn't question how Will & Jada are raising their kids, because everyone could have an opinion on everyone else's parenting style.
I think the kids are cute and intelligence, and have been exposed to a lot. My hope is that they veer in the right direction, and not off course.

    2. But I have to be honest and admit that the content of their speech is very disturbing.

  12. As much as they sound exposed & intelligent, They also sound brainwashed.
Before anyone says anything, We are ALL brainwashed by what we believe in. Be it religion or science or whatever! Cos we always let what we believe RULE/CONTROL our lives! E.g, Willow & Jaden. But how do their parents cope though!?

We'all should just hope it's the right kind of brainwashing we are experiencing!

  13. Here’s the deal: School is not authentic because it ends. It’s not true, it’s not real. Our learning will never end. The school that we go to every single morning, we will continue to go to.'

That statement struck me, and they are so right.
Call it brainwashing call it whatever but want however ALL religions have a form and shape of brainwashing.we instruct our children in the ways of God from the time that they are born until they leave home. We sing to them about God. We talk to them about Jesus, we go to church every sunday and take in all these things what do you call that?

Romans 12:2 says "... And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind..." ponder on that for a bit, a constant renewing of your mind,it requires something/an effort from our minds and honestly having faith is not logical, a lot of things we do as christians could be resolved as being brainwashed.
add to that words of affirmation, positive thinking, law of attraction, thinking only pure and good thoughts etc thats the power/ability of the mind however as with everything "good" theres always a counterfeit, imitation, now to decide which is good and which is bad is debate for another day.

  14. Am actually confused but everyone is entitled to his or her way of life and they choose this one and their parents are ok with It,the fact that their parents give them the freedom is nice , I feel they are just intelligent and hey the American life is soo not the same with our African ways

  15. It's disturbing.. very disturbing.
I didn't read all the fine fine intelligent things y'all gathered from this piece. It just seemed very.... disturbing (for lack of a better word)
PLUS, what on God'said green earth is Scientology? I know Google is my friend et al but someone should please enlighten me.
    Thanks in advance.

  16. I just dont like this at all.....they have taken these kids and made them adults in a young body! I dont like it I dont like it.....#JoyDaNuGirl

Turia Pitt Suffered 65% Burns But Loved Conquered All...

Amazing Story Shared by Dr. Ben Carson on Facebook, i thought it is inspiring and i decided to share;

The Australian ex-model Turia Pitt suffered burns to 65 per cent of her body, lost her fingers and thumb on her right hand and spent five months in hospital after she was trapped by a grassfire in a 100 kilometre ultra-marathon in the Kimberley. Her boyfriend decided to quit his job to care for her recovery.
Days ago, in an interview for CNN they asked him:
"Did you at any moment think about leaving her and hiring someone to take care of her and moving on with your life?"

His reply touched the world:

"I married her soul, her character, and she's the only woman that will continue to fulfill my dreams."

This made me very reflective. I just wonder; if the person you love today encounters an incident or accident that transforms who they are physically, it could be amputation, it could be paralysis, it could be severe burns that scald their flesh beyond recognition, w…

Good morning people!
Just checking in to sign the register. Lol. It's been a very busy week and it looks like it might be an even busier weekend. I was hoping to get some writing done when I got to the airport yesterday but I even almost missed my flight. It was hopeless trying to do any work on the plane as it was bumpy af, and this toddler behind me wouldn't stop screaming in piercing shrieks like he was being exorcised.
I got into town pretty late and needed to keep an appointment ASAP. I'm heading out right now and it's going to be a long day, but thought I should drop this first.
Have a splendid day. Im'ma be back soon.

One More Post...

He was my coursemate, crush, then my boyfriend.... he was super
intelligent, smart, tall, dark and handsome. Believe me he got

After listening to a song "IF YOU LOVE SOMEBODY TELL THEM THAT YOU
LOVE THEM and watching the season film of The Secret Life of
American Teenagers. ..when Amy Jeugerns mum told her "you are only
young once". LOL that part got me.
Hope you know what i mean?

Though I'm okay with chemistry class I approached him to coach me for
the Quiz that was coming up, we found out that we had this
great chemistry between us.. hehehe both the covalent and
electrovalent bonds....

So one thing led to another till one unusual Saturday. I invited
him to my house and he came. The guy got swag, he even came
with a packet of durex condom.
We talked for a while and and and and and and
See how you are serious dey read this story....!

A side chick is commonly known as a mistress or a woman that’s romantically involved with a man who is in a committed relationship.  However after doing some reflecting, I realize that’s not the only type of side chick.  I want to discuss “the new side chick”–a woman who decides to stay by a man’s side after he has expressed his lack of relationship intentions with her through his words or actions.  So many women have made this mistake at least once in their lifetime, and unfortunately I’ve done the same thing. I like to think of the new side chick as an appetizer.  You’re there just to satisfy the immediate appetite of the man, but as soon as that mouth-watering entrée comes out to the table, you will get pushed to the side, literally.  Why?  Because that entrée is what he really wanted; he went to the restaurant to order steak, not hot wings.  You were just a placeholder, fling, temporary commitment, or  maybe even just a “good ol time” until what he really wanted was presented to hi…

I'm in an amebo mood tonight. Don't ask me, I honestly don't know why. Also I'd like to share too but I'd do that anonymously in the comment section. Tonight I want to talk about secrets. It's ok, we can all be anonymous.
Is it true that EVERYBODY has a secret?
Is there anyone here who doesn't have a secret? I'd really like to know; You're a completely open book and there's not ONE thing about you that you wouldn't mind other people knowing about? Please raise your hands up.
And for the rest of us, what's something about you that no one knows, or very few people know? Who's got a dark secret here, or a weird one, or a funny one even? I really don't mean to be invasive but I don't want to be the only one sharing, plus I think hearing other people's secrets is quite fun, don't you think?

Let's Be Random Together! (Open Keypad).

Hey guys, a while back blog reader F said something about creating an Open Keypad post, where you can write whatever you want in the comment section. I thought it was a fun idea!
So who is interested? Comment on anything you feel like, ask me or anyone a question, talk about how your day went, your job, your interests, tell us something about you that we don't know, share a testimony with us, rant about anything you feel like, talk about your crush/boo/spouse/relationship/marriage, challenges you're facing, ANYTHING AT ALL!
I'll only make one request; that we stay civil.

(F it was you who made this suggestion, right? I'm not too sure and I can't even remember the post the comment was made on).
BTW please Ejoeccome out come out, wherever you are!

Closed Chapter...

Hello everyone, yesterday a friend said to me, Thelma I love your blog, I've told so many people about your blog, I think you're a very good writer but I feel there's something you're not doing right"

This friend was the first person who won our beauty of the day contest back then in 2014. Then we had met just once through a mutual friend. I mentioned the blog to her and she became an instant reader. I wouldn't have exactly called her a friend then but yesterday as we sat down waiting for our Uber to come get us from Wal-Mart, she's definitely my friend and I knew she was coming from a good place when she said she had much higher expectations of my blog.

Me too.

But you see, in the last year or so, maybe even longer than that, I haven't felt much joy in blogging. It began to feel more and more of a laborious chore, one which I hardly reaped any fruits from.

I really love writing, I love sharing my life and my experiences with others and I've enjoy…
