Good morning beautiful people! Happy Boxing Day.
Can you believe it, just like that, Christmas has come and gone. Ouch!
So what happened yesterday? How did you spend Christmas? I want all the juicy details yo!
For as long as I can remember, Christmas nights at Chocolate's mum's house has always been legendary and on Christmas Eve she reminded me once again to be at her mum's (as if I needed to be reminded. LOL). Yesterday's dinner wasn't as big and lavish as it usually is but it was just as divine!
There's just something so special about friends in whose homes you feel like family. I love that family to bits, they're simply awesome people, individually and collectively. And just it is when families gather, there's bound to be one or two people you share history with. Yes, there were such people yesterday, people that played a very serious role in my life in the past and today we see each other and nod curtly. Isn't it remarkable and you could share your life, heart, body and soul with someone yesteryear and tomorrow they simply become NOTHING? Hmmm.
Anyhoo, moving on... Dinner was The Bomb biko! Chocolate's eldest sister, a babe after my own heart, is just tooooooo much, I love love love this woman. She can cook for Africa honestly. She cooked all the food herself, I wasn't able to get a picture of everything, but she made EVERYTHING herself and each one tasted heavenly.
So these are just a few pictures from last night.
LOL. I took home a platter. Another thing you're able to do when you dine with family.
*Fina my sympathies to your friend's family. I'm so sorry for your loss, especially at a time like this. May her soul rest in peace, amen.*
