When I saw this post above yesterday my heart literally skipped a beat. I told myself to believe it was a mindless lie, 'works of the enemy'.. But seeing picture evidence this morning has got my heart breaking. In all honesty I've not been a fan of Dbanj since he left Mohits and I have publicly laughed at his weak attempts at hit-making. BUT I've always been of the belief that it's much better to be broke and have always been broke, than to taste wealth (and fame) and then go broke. I genuinely sympathize with Banga Lee, I know he's not as broke as the media would have us believe, but still, at this point it's pretty obvious that something is wrong somewhere, what with all the talk of his inability to pay his staff, his (alleged) huge debts and possible legal battles...
I know there's more to the story, it's never advisable to believe everything you read in the news, but what do you think about this comment below:
Dbanj is broke. Don jazzy was the business mind. Dbanj was the porch monkey. He fought for the mo hits back catalogue bcos he knew he has zero business acumen and no production abilities. But naija music is a fast moving train so older mo hits songs aren't worth a lot. Don jazzy is smart. Very smart. Never said a bad word about this guy while dbanj was granting interviews boasting about what he bought for whoever.Dbanj for the past 2 years has been in the news not for his music but for who he's dating (all fake and total PR stunts) and for taking pics with famous people like some excited tourist.
Dbanj lives above his means like a lot of yoruba guys. Do you guys know that 2 face is worth a lot more than dbanj but compare their lifestyles for a second.
Dbanj called don jazzy a fool for shying away from Kanye and all that American big living. Dbanj played himself.
Remember the Dbanj-Don Jazzy-Kanye West/Good music débâcle? I always knew Dbanj was making a decision he would come to regret, wetin consine Dbanj with Kanye West biko kwa?
