I Wonder About.... T.B Joshua. (What's So Horrible About The SynagogueChurch?)

"I never argue whenever I hear ppl talk about this man (T.B Joshua), because I used to be like them, what I just simply say now is 'go and see for yourself'..."

Good morning TTB readers.

This morning I'm asking about the 'man of God' called  T.B Joshua. It's very rare to mention his name and not get some reaction, either good or bad. And I'm sure we've all heard of the Synagogue Church of All Nations. You mention the Synagogue church as well and people either turn their noses up and roll their eyes or excitedly inform you that "that's where it's happening".

I've heard all sorts about the place, more bad than good. But of course I've never been there myself so   I can't verify the truth or falsity of anything I've heard.

I decided to make a post of this when someone close to me mentioned that she plans on going to the Synagogue church for deliverance. I felt chills run down my spine; Synagogue? Why? Are you really sure you want to do that? I asked.

But moments after this I found myself wondering why I felt this way, after all I've not had any personal experiences at the church, or with the man... Or could it be those some times amusing, some times entertaining, some times frightening Synagogue deliverance clips I see on YouTube? And speaking of the man, could it because many years ago my friend's mum said she went there and met with him, and she said he told her to call his name three times at midnight and he would appear?
I don't know what it is. But seeing as I've never been there and I may never go there, I thought why not ask people who know better; What's so horrible about the Synagogue church?

Or maybe you don't think it is, perhaps you're a member of the church or you're an occasional visitor and you know better. Tell us what makes the church so special, and why Synagogue is your chosen place of worship.

Basically I'm trying to unravel why there's so much drama associated with the Synagogue church.

Comments

  1. I heard all the stories too and have the same reaction at the mention of synagogue. I don't think I want to go there at all to "see for myself".. better safe than sorry.

    1. Hi Subomi, There are many good reasons why you should go to Scoan.
Why Foreign pastors went to examine Scoan Nigeria ?

Below is a brief extract from the above Internationally esteemed website.
” Having watched many miraculous healings on videos from the Synagogue, Church Of All Nations, Nigeria a group of three New Zealand pastors and four evangelists including myself went to the Synagogue, Church Of All Nations, Nigeria and lived there for nine days and nights. We wanted to satisfy ourselves that T.B. Joshua is a man of God and miracles were in fact taking place.”

      What we saw :
Blind eyes opened, cripples walking and dozens of testimonies from people who had been healed of HIV and other diseases.
Some of us received healings ourselves.
      Spiritual overview:
We heard the name of Jesus Christ being continuously uplifted, the Gospel, repentance and salvation being continuously preached and the work of the Holy Spirit honoured.
After nine days at the Synagogue, Church Of All Nations we concluded that T.B. Joshua is indeed a man of God and these are the works of God.
      Group from New Zealand:
Among our group there were three senior pastors, two evangelists and two men leading major Christian work in New Zealand. Between us we had 180 years of ministry.
Our conclusion was that this is truly a work of God.

  2. I have not gone there but I think anybody that wants to go for deliverance should go to MFM prayer city. There's something off about that synagogue place.

    1. As a truth seeker, this will be interesting to you.
Every time I watch the Deliverance of Evil spirits on Emmanuel TV I witness the deepest love of Jesus the Messiah for the suffering masses regardless of their religion.

The sincere suffering masses from all religions and cults world wide, finally have scientific verifiable evidence that the Messiah, Jesus Christ came to usher in a new covenant, that provided abundant evidence of the full LOVE of the Father for them, which is free deliverance from Demons, free healing even from terminal sickness and free material blessings and all kind of breakthrough. MIRACLES, SIGNS AND WONDERS.

  3. I think it's more hearsay than firsthand experience. I for one have never been there, will never go there but I have heard so many not so good things about the place.....i think that's enough for me

  4. I have family friends who attend synagogue, I know at least 60% bad about the church but I no go talk,I wouldn't want anyone to come looking for me but I can really say his powers aren't from God,am saying it boldly because of the experience a friend had with him but only God knows those who are serving him and like he said, his judgement would start from the house of God but Thelma tell ur friend to go to Mfm for deliverance, either prayer city or the main church at yaba.

  5. He told her to call his name thrice and he would appear? #bbmsurprisedsmiley#.
Anyways, I've never been there and don't think I will. I have an aunt who went with her sick husband but the man returned even more sick than he was (eventually got better tho with prayers from other pastors and pple around). And, I can't say if his power is frm God cos I don't knw. But his charity works cannot be compared to any other (as shown on his synagogue TV) so its a thumbs up for that. Happy sunday T and TTB readers.

  6. For me, my grievance against the church resides in the fact that T. B. Joshua refused to honour in person the summon/writ by the court/coroner regarding the death of over a hundred persons in his church facility. I believe that the church should to a large extent be subject to the laws of the land. I don't presuppose that he is guilty but at least showing up in the courts, and giving your side of the story is the least a Christian should do seeing as lives were lost and families were put in grief. This is aside the news about the unconfirmed supposed 'bribe' that he gave some journalists. If the head of the Church's personal life shows a flagrant disregard for Christian living, there's almost little you can tell me about Christ.

Stories that are peddled around do not paint the church in a good light but I'v learnt not to judge solely on hearsays seeing as I could make my own personal assessment of the church which I haven't availed myself of and seemingly unlikely to.

    2. Hi Chrisyinks, I see you are an open minded truth seeker. Here is more info from Professor Willem Ouweneel.

T.B.Joshua : A Ministry of Signs and Wonders - The Biography, Theology and Ministry of Prophet TB Joshua of Lagos, Nigeria
      Paperback
      By (author) Professor Willem Ouweneel

T.B.Joshua : A Ministry of Signs and Wonders - The Biography, Theology and Ministry of Prophet TB Joshua of Lagos, Nigeria

This book has been written by a prominent Dutch theologian who has authored more than 100 books on reformed evangelical theology. Until recently he was anti-charismatic in his personal theology. That was until Professor Willem Ouweneel's daughter, who was sterile and unable to have children, visited the church of TB Joshua in Nigeria and was prayed for, and subsequently healed.

Prof.Willem Ouweneel’s daughter recently gave birth!
At the time of praying for her, TB Joshua gave a detailed prophecy about her father Willem, which intrigued him enough to visit Nigeria himself.

On Professor Willem Ouwenel's first visit, he himself was healed from a long-term throat infection and a relative travelling with him was healed of visual impairment. This was the beginning of a spiritual journey for the author which has led him to question and revise many long-held beliefs.

  10. Really, I've never heard anything good about the church, apart from its loyal members defending the church(i hv friends dat go there esp as it's their family church, but I won't judge them. It's their choice). Even the church's visitors don't hv good impressions about the church and most never repeat their visits. It's really a source of concern.

The only thing I admire about the man is his charity works..its really overwhelming.

Turia Pitt Suffered 65% Burns But Loved Conquered All...

Amazing Story Shared by Dr. Ben Carson on Facebook, i thought it is inspiring and i decided to share;

The Australian ex-model Turia Pitt suffered burns to 65 per cent of her body, lost her fingers and thumb on her right hand and spent five months in hospital after she was trapped by a grassfire in a 100 kilometre ultra-marathon in the Kimberley. Her boyfriend decided to quit his job to care for her recovery.
Days ago, in an interview for CNN they asked him:
"Did you at any moment think about leaving her and hiring someone to take care of her and moving on with your life?"

His reply touched the world:

"I married her soul, her character, and she's the only woman that will continue to fulfill my dreams."

This made me very reflective. I just wonder; if the person you love today encounters an incident or accident that transforms who they are physically, it could be amputation, it could be paralysis, it could be severe burns that scald their flesh beyond recognition, w…

Good morning people!
Just checking in to sign the register. Lol. It's been a very busy week and it looks like it might be an even busier weekend. I was hoping to get some writing done when I got to the airport yesterday but I even almost missed my flight. It was hopeless trying to do any work on the plane as it was bumpy af, and this toddler behind me wouldn't stop screaming in piercing shrieks like he was being exorcised.
I got into town pretty late and needed to keep an appointment ASAP. I'm heading out right now and it's going to be a long day, but thought I should drop this first.
Have a splendid day. Im'ma be back soon.

THE ‘NEW’ SIDE CHICK: I WAS HER

A side chick is commonly known as a mistress or a woman that’s romantically involved with a man who is in a committed relationship.  However after doing some reflecting, I realize that’s not the only type of side chick.  I want to discuss “the new side chick”–a woman who decides to stay by a man’s side after he has expressed his lack of relationship intentions with her through his words or actions.  So many women have made this mistake at least once in their lifetime, and unfortunately I’ve done the same thing. I like to think of the new side chick as an appetizer.  You’re there just to satisfy the immediate appetite of the man, but as soon as that mouth-watering entrée comes out to the table, you will get pushed to the side, literally.  Why?  Because that entrée is what he really wanted; he went to the restaurant to order steak, not hot wings.  You were just a placeholder, fling, temporary commitment, or  maybe even just a “good ol time” until what he really wanted was presented to hi…

Shhhhhhh....

I'm in an amebo mood tonight. Don't ask me, I honestly don't know why. Also I'd like to share too but I'd do that anonymously in the comment section. Tonight I want to talk about secrets. It's ok, we can all be anonymous.
Is it true that EVERYBODY has a secret?
Is there anyone here who doesn't have a secret? I'd really like to know; You're a completely open book and there's not ONE thing about you that you wouldn't mind other people knowing about? Please raise your hands up.
And for the rest of us, what's something about you that no one knows, or very few people know? Who's got a dark secret here, or a weird one, or a funny one even? I really don't mean to be invasive but I don't want to be the only one sharing, plus I think hearing other people's secrets is quite fun, don't you think?

Let's Be Random Together! (Open Keypad).

Hey guys, a while back blog reader F said something about creating an Open Keypad post, where you can write whatever you want in the comment section. I thought it was a fun idea!
So who is interested? Comment on anything you feel like, ask me or anyone a question, talk about how your day went, your job, your interests, tell us something about you that we don't know, share a testimony with us, rant about anything you feel like, talk about your crush/boo/spouse/relationship/marriage, challenges you're facing, ANYTHING AT ALL!
I'll only make one request; that we stay civil.

(F it was you who made this suggestion, right? I'm not too sure and I can't even remember the post the comment was made on).
BTW please Ejoeccome out come out, wherever you are!
