Chidera Adiele Pregancy Nudes. "Love It!" or "Make It Stop!"?

I was having lunch with a friend yesterday afternoon when he suddenly began to sputter and choke on his vodka (the Russians need to pay me, I raise their vodka sales by 50%. #runsaway). He was looking into his phone so naturally I took a peek and saw the cause of his severe discomfort.

I returned the phone to him and I knew what was to follow; how could she? And she's pregnant? Nollywood not Hollywood, no she is a Nigerian! What is this? How could she do this? On and on he went.

I kinda zoned out, his questions bored me. In fact I all but forgot about it until I saw Myne Whitman's facebook post this afternoon. Myne thinks they're beautiful pictures and says she might take similar shots when she's pregnant, although she may not share online.

People have so many different opinions on these pictures. But there's one thing I noticed; most women think they're very beautiful pictures and praise her for them, even though some say she, maybe, shouldn't have posted them online. The men all seem to be disgusted by the pictures.

LOL. I just find it worthy of note that women are behind her on this one, and the men find it repugnant. What does that tell you? (Don't look at me, it doesn't tell me anything but I think there's a message in there somewhere

I think these pictures are extremely beautiful. Especially the one in black and white. But... personally I don't feel comfortable looking at naked bodies of pregnant women. I really truly don't. I understand motherhood and pregnancy are things very worthy of celebration, and such pictures celebrate them. But I've always felt very uncomfortable seeing pregnant (celebrities') near nude pictures on magazine covers. Something about it rubs me the wrong way. Maybe when I get pregnant I will understand. Maybe I also will feel the need to show off my beautiful baby bump. For now however, when I see pictures of a near-naked pregnant woman I feel the way a child does walking in on her parents having sex. LOL.

So these pics, you like?

  1. i dont feel comfortable looking at the bodies of pregnant women either..that being said, i think the pictures are beautiful but she should have kept it for she and hubbys eyes only.

  2. Oh Boy! I'm finally airing my opinion on this!

MAKE it F***ING STOP on social media or in public! What in Gracious baby Jesus' name is this? Who do I even blame the most? She, her husband or the photographer?

YES! Women Love thy bodies! Embrace thy curves & stretch marks & fat, but can we keep PRIVATE things PRIVATE?
By all means have pictures like this taken by ur husband & lock the pictures in ur private vault! It's amazing to look at when ur 80 but not in public, biko I'm out. Headache don start!

    1. Thank you Ruthy! Thank you very much for this comment!

What is the meaning of this for Christ's sake!? Make it stop in public abeg! Hian!

    2. Well spoken Ruthy. She could take the pictures and lock them somewhere for private viewing only and on top of it, the public show is free of charge.

  3. Most men find it repugnant because they don't fancy a naked "pot-bellied" woman attractive.

    1. *find a naked...*. My brain is doing flip flops

  4. there are beautiful pictures but should not be shared. whereas their counterparts baring it all abroad are paid top dollars for doing so, i don't understand why she should share such intimate and private pictures on social media. The black and white pic looks great. j

  5. ....They find it repugnant but would drool and spittle when the said person is not pregnant and naked....yeye dey smell. What exactly is causing their irritation her bump or the fact that she is naked?

Like the saying goes, whatever rocks anyone's boat

    Beautiful pictures.....

  6. I was blown away by those pictures and I thought her body looked great considering how far gone she is.
DH, naturally, was incensed when I showed him- he couldn't understand how a "married woman", pregnant no less, could bare it all in the name of a photo shoot.
Like you T, I zoned out, focusing on other things and not even bothering to defend her- it was no use- there are just A LOT of things DH and I may/will never agree on and, sometimes, it's no use trying to agree to disagree because it begins to make him wonder at what really makes up my values so I find it wiser to keep quiet and think my thoughts without voicing it out.

  7. Beautiful pictures but should be for privacy consumption only... why displaying it...

  8. Please make it stop! It's not everything we share with the public. What was her aim tho?

  9. Lol, #BeingFemaleInNigeria,ur definitely not allowed to do this...yimu!
Me that already has 3 poses for when the day(s) come...

  10. Very beautiful pictures but should have been kept private..

  11. I can't wait to get pregnant, so I can take nude pictures, now I'm not sure if I would share, but I would definitely look at it over and over again. I love nudity ( covers face and runs away). Her pictures are beautiful in my own opinion.

    1. Would you at least share what makes up those 27 little things? I've been curious ever since I saw your id on an earlier post. Tried to mind my biz, but I'll always wonder until I have a hint or more (hopefully).

    2. Haba buby u too curious ohhhh must u know the 27 little

    3. Lol@ buby well its my business name, I was looking for a business name for a while and at that time I was part of a personal growth forum and we were asked to do a number of things ( anything) to make someone happy or put a smile on someone's face or encourage someone. It went on for a week and I could only account for 27 things, and they were not very significant but they made a lot of impact and I felt very fulfilled. I was listening to 'little things' by indie arie one day and it just clicked, so I decided to name my business 27littlethings and I'm making it a brand ( it's a perfume retail business). The end ;D.

    5. Interesting! I think doing as much as 27 good deeds was pretty impressive, and I've come to realize that the little things really go a long way. Sometimes farther than the grand gestures....
With your business name, I think your brand is off to a great start. I find I like you already!
Thanks for the insight. I just might sleep happier for it, but not before I seek out the 'little things' song (never heard it before).

@Mabel, my mind can be that way o. It sha wants to know. *shrugs*

  12. I've never understood when ppl say something is not acceptable because we are africans. " it was okay when Riri and B did it because that's their culture over there, but Tiwa savage doing it? That's preposterous!"
I don't understand what that means. If its wrong, it's wrong. If it's right, it's right. What's good for the goose should be good for the gander.
I'm glad that this lady is happy with her pregnant body. As for whether she should have shared the happi ess with the rest of the planet, I can't comment much on that, as the deed has already been done.

  13. Private things should be kept private thou the pictures are beautiful

  14. I'll just repeat what I told my sister when she showed them to me earlier. Since she AND her husband are cool with it, then what I think about their sharing, matters little.
I'd rather someone makes Afro candy's fourth of July, and similar pictures stop already!!! Arrrghh!!!
Lovely pregnancy pictures by the way. I like the one that has her sitting down, best. Everything about it, including the black line running down her tummy is appealing to me.

  15. Private things ya ya...akuko uwa......onye na nke ya........her bump looks beautiful... Esp the one of her sitting down....

  16. Private things ya ya...akuko uwa......onye na nke ya........her bump looks beautiful... Esp the one of her sitting down....

  18. The hubby agreed to this!
    Their cup of tea jor.

  19. Why do all of them edit the stretch marks na?

    1. Cccc chop kiss, all of them dey edit the stretch mark lol. Is it possible for a woman to get preggy without having a bit of stretch mark,na was ohhhh. But I feel this is like constituting public nuisance, this pix should be for her and hubby and maybe when the baby is grown.

  20. I think it's beautiful! I wish I looked that hot when I was pregnant lol

  21. Please make it stop

If she had worn a bath robe or something, I'd appreciate it better. I love pictures of half nude pregnant women, there's something sexy, powerful yet modest about it.

Anywaiz, as for the woman in the pics, each mallam to his kettle. As far as her husband isn't complaining, her life, her body, her baby bump. Its hers to do with as she pleases.

PS: I love that second picture.. the heels, the bra, the bare bump and that line... in fact, everything.

PPS: where's Mallama? Its been a while, I hope she's fine.

  22. I've always supported that nude pics should be kept private, whether Beyonce or Tiwa, pregnant or barren, no matter the intent or circumstance. I'm trying to reason like Jesus and I don't think He'd be too pleased with that image.
    This is solely my opinion

  23. Okay! This right here is PERFECTION!!!! Beautiful!!!!! Gorgeous!!!! Public or private doesn't matter!

  24. Really beautiful pictures. I wouldn't have shared.

  25. Make it stop!!! Nudity shouldn't be celebrated publicly whether preggers or not. The pic is best for hubby alone biko.

  26. Though the pics are beautiful but those should have been private pictures. I think this trend shouldn't be encouraged..

Please stop by my blog someday.

  27. Respect thyself n make it stop

  28. If you want to get pregant, you need to start eating right and be aware of the foods you are currently eating. Eating the proper foods that provide all the right nutrients is an essential part of pregancy.

Turia Pitt Suffered 65% Burns But Loved Conquered All...

Amazing Story Shared by Dr. Ben Carson on Facebook, i thought it is inspiring and i decided to share;

The Australian ex-model Turia Pitt suffered burns to 65 per cent of her body, lost her fingers and thumb on her right hand and spent five months in hospital after she was trapped by a grassfire in a 100 kilometre ultra-marathon in the Kimberley. Her boyfriend decided to quit his job to care for her recovery.
Days ago, in an interview for CNN they asked him:
"Did you at any moment think about leaving her and hiring someone to take care of her and moving on with your life?"

His reply touched the world:

"I married her soul, her character, and she's the only woman that will continue to fulfill my dreams."

This made me very reflective. I just wonder; if the person you love today encounters an incident or accident that transforms who they are physically, it could be amputation, it could be paralysis, it could be severe burns that scald their flesh beyond recognition, w…

Good morning people!
Just checking in to sign the register. Lol. It's been a very busy week and it looks like it might be an even busier weekend. I was hoping to get some writing done when I got to the airport yesterday but I even almost missed my flight. It was hopeless trying to do any work on the plane as it was bumpy af, and this toddler behind me wouldn't stop screaming in piercing shrieks like he was being exorcised.
I got into town pretty late and needed to keep an appointment ASAP. I'm heading out right now and it's going to be a long day, but thought I should drop this first.
Have a splendid day. Im'ma be back soon.

One More Post...

He was my coursemate, crush, then my boyfriend.... he was super
intelligent, smart, tall, dark and handsome. Believe me he got
swag, but he didn't seem to notice me. (I'm a nerd but a sassy one
if I say so myself).  So oneday I decided to take it to another level..
After listening to a song "IF YOU LOVE SOMEBODY TELL THEM THAT YOU
LOVE THEM and watching the season film of The Secret Life of
American Teenagers. ..when Amy Jeugerns mum told her "you are only
young once". LOL that part got me.
Hope you know what i mean?

Though I'm okay with chemistry class I approached him to coach me for
the Quiz that was coming up, we found out that we had this
great chemistry between us.. hehehe both the covalent and
electrovalent bonds....

So one thing led to another till one unusual Saturday. I invited
him to my house and he came. The guy got swag, he even came
with a packet of durex condom.
We talked for a while and and and and and and
See how you are serious dey read this story....!

A side chick is commonly known as a mistress or a woman that’s romantically involved with a man who is in a committed relationship.  However after doing some reflecting, I realize that’s not the only type of side chick.  I want to discuss “the new side chick”–a woman who decides to stay by a man’s side after he has expressed his lack of relationship intentions with her through his words or actions.  So many women have made this mistake at least once in their lifetime, and unfortunately I’ve done the same thing. I like to think of the new side chick as an appetizer.  You’re there just to satisfy the immediate appetite of the man, but as soon as that mouth-watering entrée comes out to the table, you will get pushed to the side, literally.  Why?  Because that entrée is what he really wanted; he went to the restaurant to order steak, not hot wings.  You were just a placeholder, fling, temporary commitment, or  maybe even just a “good ol time” until what he really wanted was presented to hi…

I'm in an amebo mood tonight. Don't ask me, I honestly don't know why. Also I'd like to share too but I'd do that anonymously in the comment section. Tonight I want to talk about secrets. It's ok, we can all be anonymous.
Is it true that EVERYBODY has a secret?
Is there anyone here who doesn't have a secret? I'd really like to know; You're a completely open book and there's not ONE thing about you that you wouldn't mind other people knowing about? Please raise your hands up.
And for the rest of us, what's something about you that no one knows, or very few people know? Who's got a dark secret here, or a weird one, or a funny one even? I really don't mean to be invasive but I don't want to be the only one sharing, plus I think hearing other people's secrets is quite fun, don't you think?

Let's Be Random Together! (Open Keypad).

Hey guys, a while back blog reader F said something about creating an Open Keypad post, where you can write whatever you want in the comment section. I thought it was a fun idea!
So who is interested? Comment on anything you feel like, ask me or anyone a question, talk about how your day went, your job, your interests, tell us something about you that we don't know, share a testimony with us, rant about anything you feel like, talk about your crush/boo/spouse/relationship/marriage, challenges you're facing, ANYTHING AT ALL!
I'll only make one request; that we stay civil.

(F it was you who made this suggestion, right? I'm not too sure and I can't even remember the post the comment was made on).
BTW please Ejoeccome out come out, wherever you are!

Question of The Day.

TTB readers doesn't this tweet below remind you of something?
That mail that someone sent me a few weeks back.
But why on earth should a man sleep with his son's fiancé? But what am I saying, some men even sleep with their daughters...

Oh well, I'm throwing the question to you. What has happened in your life that you never saw coming, you never hesperred it, you never imagined could happen, you never imagined could happen to you?
It could be good, it could be bad, it could be ugly. Do tell!
And it can be more than one. Let me tell you a few.
-owning a blog -week long dry fast at Prayer City (I never hesperred it).  -staying in an (emotionally) abusive relationship.
The others require anonymity. LOL. Now over to you.
