"Look, you love this guy. He's said he's sorry, besides what he did wasn't so serious, you're too hard on him Bimpe!"

"I know... But I just feel like if I'm easy on him he'd start to think he can get away with these things and that would set the tone for our marriage. I need him to know there's some bs he cannot try with me once we're married o! I am not the average Nigerian wife that will tolerate bullshit!" The couple on the next table were staring now, Bimpe was practically talking to the whole restaurant.

"Haha! Iron Lady!" Mya teased "Calm down jor and lower your voice. You better accept his apology and move on before these lagos girls decide to help you"

The two friends laughed knowingly. They had both come to look forward to and depend on their weekly dinner dates. They had been best of friends since their teens and even now as thirty loomed they were still thick as thieves.

"Enough about me. We need to find you a man. You're too beautiful and too nice to be alone, you deserve to be happy ore mi." Bimpe's tone was suddenly serious.

Mya lowered her eyes and looked away awkwardly. She wasn't sure now was the right time to tell Bimpe.

"Well... Err, Bee I've been seeing someone for sometime now. I know you'll freak out but promise me you won't overdo it" Mya rolled her eyes at her friend, the great drama queen!

"Why? Is he married? You know how I feel about girls who date married men. I love you Mya, but not that much, I don't think I would forgive..."

"Calm down!" Mya cut in "He isn't married Bee, he's divorced actually..." And then her voice trailed off.

"Ok, that's fine... Is he someone I know?" Bimpe's brows were raised suspiciously, Mya was acting all weird and shifty.

"Yes. Actually it's..." And Bimpe's phone rang at that moment. It was work, although her shift had ended an hour ago there was an emergency and she needed to report to the ER ASAP! She hurriedly kissed Mya on the cheek but before she rushed out to her car she took Mya's hands in hers and said "I know nobody's first choice is a divorcee but if he makes you happy you have my full, undivided, unadulterated, total, complete support"

"Oh Bee, you have no idea, he does! He makes me sooooo happy. I've never felt this way about anyone before, I think he might be the one". Mya smiled tearfully at her. Bimpe squeezed her friend's hands, kissed her on the cheek again and in a second she was gone.

As Mya handed her ATM to the waiter, she wondered for the upteenth time how Bimpe would react when she found out who bae was. And just then her phone rang.

"Hey babe!" She squeeled girlishly into the phone "You see, you and I are so in sync, I was just thinking about you". After a few seconds she spoke again.

"I love you too my darling. I would be there in a few minutes, I need to get me some 'sugar', I've missed it so much!" she said with a naughty chuckle as she felt a throb between her thighs. In a flash she was on her feet and ready to go.

It had been a long night in the ER and the thought of driving all the way to her Ajah flat was unbearable. On a whim she decided to spend the night at her father's house not too far away from the hospital. Thankfully there was seldom any traffic at that time of the night in Ikoyi so she was at his gate in no time.

As she put her key into the lock it occured to her that she should have called first but she immediately shoved the thought aside. However, when she walked into the kitchen she wished she had called.

Standing at the sink, washing dishes and humming cheerily was a lady with the perfect hour glass body. Daddy does have great taste, Bimpe thought, sardonically. She stood awkwardly at the door, the lady must have felt right at home in her father's house, or else why was she washing dishes in his kitchen, humming carefreely like Mary Poppins yet sinfully naked as Eve before she ate the fruit? Bimpe took in her curves and her generous behind. She does have a great arse though, Bimpe thought, she kinda reminds me of...

And at that second the lady turned around.

"MYA!!!" Bimpe's eyes were two wide saucers as she came face to face with her friend's erect nipples

Mya was just as stunned, so much so that she didn't know her hands had lost grip of the china until she heard the loud shattering of glass against the marble floors.

She saw a tear slide down Bimpe's cheek and at that moment she knew she had lost her best friend, forever.

Ok guys, please we need answers; did Mya really do anything wrong? Bimpe's dad after all is single and free for the taking. In Bimpe's shoes, would you forgive Mya? In Mya's shoes, would you end the relationship, even though you're deeply in love with your lover, who happens to be your bestfriend's father? Bimpe feels ultimately betrayed. Mya feels she deserves to be happy. After all, Bimpe herself is wedding the man of her dreams in a few weeks, why shouldn't she be allowed to be with her own Prince Charming?

It seems Bimpe needs to start looking for a new chief bridesmaid but that's another story entirely...

  1. Hmmm, mya is not wrong but I can't feel comfortable with my friend dating my father. I always wonder how jennifer obayuwana is comfy with ene maya lawani knowing full well that she's fucking her father. I just can't, too awkward.

    1. Lols, I see u bringing SDKness up in here. More pls...

    2. Lols, I see u bringing SDKness up in here. More pls...

    3. The difference is that Ene and Jennifer were not friends. They are around the same age but not friends, j was a rich princess n E was a thirsty hustler who struck gold when she met mr Obayuwana. But from the look of things the girls get along now n maybe it's because ene and mr o have broken up.

  2. I won't like this kind of arrngement. Not one bit. However, if she isnt/wasnt the cause of my parents divorce, I just might ignore.

I'd feel betrayed since she kept it till the very last minute.

They both didn't just fall in love in one day. It was a process, one in which Mya waited to long to spill.

The fact is, love is a decision, an action, aside from chemistry which is temporal, you can chose to fall in love and out of love with someone.

nd yes, you won't die if you leave someone you really think you can't do without.

See gobe on top fiction. Abeg una good

  3. Bimpe should park one side, mya deserves to b happy and where she found that happiness ain't bad at all in as much as Bimpe's parent aren't married any longer, she isn't doing anything forbidden or out of the ordinary.

  4. I don't understand why Mya kept the relationship a secret, could it be because deep down she felt it was wrong?

  5. She should v just opened up and that's where she got t all wrong! Besides why 're some girls so comfy doing dis tho?

  6. I always say, we never really knw how to react until faced with the exact situation.
Sheybi Bimpe was forming "supportive friend" to Mya's relationship until she realized the man in question was her dad. C'est la vie...

    1. Yes Sasha, exactly my thoughts, if it wasn't her father she wouldn't react that way am very sure.

  7. Mya kept mute all these while because she was not sure how her friend will take the development. As bad as it may appear to the person(s) beside us, sometimes we have to take a totally selfish decision...just for our own good.

  8. My dad has dated some of my friends but I don't care because it's just sex. It is a normal thing for randy rich men. I don't pity my mum because she knew what she was getting into when she married him.

    1. So your friends get down like that? Interesting...

  9. Nothing wey person never see for this word abeg. Of course they won't be as close as before but She will get over it eventually. Would be too wierd to be discussing love life afterwards

  10. Yoruba has a saying which goes thus: eni ija o ba, lo npe ara e l'okunrin (loosely translates to: it is someone who is not faced with a dire situation that calls himself a 'man' or thinks he is strong). I would not condemn Mya because I wouldn't know what I would do if faced with similar situation. I'm sure she would have considered discussing it with her friend but developed cold feet at each opportunity. However, I consider it very awkward to date my father's friend or for my friend to date my father. Regardless, they both deserve to be happy.

I believe in real life situation, both friends may settle but they will definitely stop being friends.

Turia Pitt Suffered 65% Burns But Loved Conquered All...

Amazing Story Shared by Dr. Ben Carson on Facebook, i thought it is inspiring and i decided to share;

The Australian ex-model Turia Pitt suffered burns to 65 per cent of her body, lost her fingers and thumb on her right hand and spent five months in hospital after she was trapped by a grassfire in a 100 kilometre ultra-marathon in the Kimberley. Her boyfriend decided to quit his job to care for her recovery.
Days ago, in an interview for CNN they asked him:
"Did you at any moment think about leaving her and hiring someone to take care of her and moving on with your life?"

His reply touched the world:

"I married her soul, her character, and she's the only woman that will continue to fulfill my dreams."

This made me very reflective. I just wonder; if the person you love today encounters an incident or accident that transforms who they are physically, it could be amputation, it could be paralysis, it could be severe burns that scald their flesh beyond recognition, w…

Good morning people!
Just checking in to sign the register. Lol. It's been a very busy week and it looks like it might be an even busier weekend. I was hoping to get some writing done when I got to the airport yesterday but I even almost missed my flight. It was hopeless trying to do any work on the plane as it was bumpy af, and this toddler behind me wouldn't stop screaming in piercing shrieks like he was being exorcised.
I got into town pretty late and needed to keep an appointment ASAP. I'm heading out right now and it's going to be a long day, but thought I should drop this first.
Have a splendid day. Im'ma be back soon.

One More Post...

He was my coursemate, crush, then my boyfriend.... he was super
intelligent, smart, tall, dark and handsome. Believe me he got
swag, but he didn't seem to notice me. (I'm a nerd but a sassy one
if I say so myself).  So oneday I decided to take it to another level..
After listening to a song "IF YOU LOVE SOMEBODY TELL THEM THAT YOU
LOVE THEM and watching the season film of The Secret Life of
American Teenagers. ..when Amy Jeugerns mum told her "you are only
young once". LOL that part got me.
Hope you know what i mean?

Though I'm okay with chemistry class I approached him to coach me for
the Quiz that was coming up, we found out that we had this
great chemistry between us.. hehehe both the covalent and
electrovalent bonds....

So one thing led to another till one unusual Saturday. I invited
him to my house and he came. The guy got swag, he even came
with a packet of durex condom.
We talked for a while and and and and and and
See how you are serious dey read this story....!

A side chick is commonly known as a mistress or a woman that’s romantically involved with a man who is in a committed relationship.  However after doing some reflecting, I realize that’s not the only type of side chick.  I want to discuss “the new side chick”–a woman who decides to stay by a man’s side after he has expressed his lack of relationship intentions with her through his words or actions.  So many women have made this mistake at least once in their lifetime, and unfortunately I’ve done the same thing. I like to think of the new side chick as an appetizer.  You’re there just to satisfy the immediate appetite of the man, but as soon as that mouth-watering entrée comes out to the table, you will get pushed to the side, literally.  Why?  Because that entrée is what he really wanted; he went to the restaurant to order steak, not hot wings.  You were just a placeholder, fling, temporary commitment, or  maybe even just a “good ol time” until what he really wanted was presented to hi…

I'm in an amebo mood tonight. Don't ask me, I honestly don't know why. Also I'd like to share too but I'd do that anonymously in the comment section. Tonight I want to talk about secrets. It's ok, we can all be anonymous.
Is it true that EVERYBODY has a secret?
Is there anyone here who doesn't have a secret? I'd really like to know; You're a completely open book and there's not ONE thing about you that you wouldn't mind other people knowing about? Please raise your hands up.
And for the rest of us, what's something about you that no one knows, or very few people know? Who's got a dark secret here, or a weird one, or a funny one even? I really don't mean to be invasive but I don't want to be the only one sharing, plus I think hearing other people's secrets is quite fun, don't you think?

Let's Be Random Together! (Open Keypad).

Hey guys, a while back blog reader F said something about creating an Open Keypad post, where you can write whatever you want in the comment section. I thought it was a fun idea!
So who is interested? Comment on anything you feel like, ask me or anyone a question, talk about how your day went, your job, your interests, tell us something about you that we don't know, share a testimony with us, rant about anything you feel like, talk about your crush/boo/spouse/relationship/marriage, challenges you're facing, ANYTHING AT ALL!
I'll only make one request; that we stay civil.

(F it was you who made this suggestion, right? I'm not too sure and I can't even remember the post the comment was made on).
BTW please Ejoeccome out come out, wherever you are!

Closed Chapter...

Hello everyone, yesterday a friend said to me, Thelma I love your blog, I've told so many people about your blog, I think you're a very good writer but I feel there's something you're not doing right"

This friend was the first person who won our beauty of the day contest back then in 2014. Then we had met just once through a mutual friend. I mentioned the blog to her and she became an instant reader. I wouldn't have exactly called her a friend then but yesterday as we sat down waiting for our Uber to come get us from Wal-Mart, she's definitely my friend and I knew she was coming from a good place when she said she had much higher expectations of my blog.

Me too.

But you see, in the last year or so, maybe even longer than that, I haven't felt much joy in blogging. It began to feel more and more of a laborious chore, one which I hardly reaped any fruits from.

I really love writing, I love sharing my life and my experiences with others and I've enjoy…
