Sex During Menstruation, Anyone?

You read my title and either went Eeeeew or Whatever. Yup, some people, male and female, are grossed out by the thought of sex during the period. While some people, male and female are indifferent about it. Hmmm, some people, male and female, quite few however, rather enjoy sex during the period because easy lubrication and all that...

A sexologist, @wunmiomololu, whom I follow on Instagram had a few tips and answers to frequently asked questions about sex during menstruation.

Feel free to read on.

😊

Did you know?
Well now you do. 😊

Wunmi says: there is still a chance you could get pregnant during your period unless you're on the pills. So don't forgo contraception.

She also adds that sex during the first day of the menstrual cycle is never safe since a man's sperm can strive in the uterus for 3 days.

So people that's it. Go forth and have some menstruation sex!

Or not...

LOL.

  3. So when is now safe ? Good grief!! Well, 'Everywoman' said the 4 post-menstrual days are safe and the 10 pre-menstrual days are safe for people with 28 days cycle. It has worked so far... *adjusts halo and flutters away*

    1. Every Woman lied. In fact the author of that book should be sued, he or she is the singular cause of 60% of abortions on the 90s and early 2000s.

Sex during menstruation is messy yet sweet. It depends on the day and how heavy your flow is.For some people it can be likened to:
    Day 1: Boli without groundnut
Day 2: kolanut & bitter kola mixed with lime
Day 3: Kolanut mixed with lemon
Day 4: Shawarma and coldstone ice cream
Day 5: Jollof rice & peppered chicken
    Day 6: ........................AIDS IS REAL

  6. I don't understand all these new analysis of getting pregnant after menstruation sex. Isn't menstruation the collapse of the "wall" built for the released ovum in case it got fertilized? And while this wall collapses, the unfertilized ovum comes out with it? Now they say sex during the 1st day of menstruation doesn't guarantee that you won't be pregnant. How? Well, what do I know or even care? Nothing in this life will make me even think of trying this. The mere thought of it...*puke*

    2. It's hard ... bar exceptions for ladies with shorter cycles, timing or in cases where the sperm survive longer in them ... the probability is low.

zero experience though, I was just taught.

  8. Don't know about you, but in my religion, it's forbidden for one to have intercourse with one's wife when she is menstruating. So menstruation sex like Memphis put it is the last thing I'll do.

    And the wisdom behind the
    prohibition on having intercourse with
one's wife when she is menstruating is because the blood is impure and having sex @ the time is very harmful even with the use of a condom..

And for the Info of the sexologist above, there are many verified medical reasons why one should avoid sex during mens..

    - You see, doing so may cause infection in the man's reproductive system which may lead to sterility as a result.

    - The lining of the uterus is shed during menstruation, and the uterus is scarred as a result, just like when the skin is flayed. So it is vulnerable to bacteria and the introduction of the bacteria that are to be found at the tip of the penis poses a great danger to the uterus. Hence the penetration of the penis into the vagina at the time of menstruation is no more than the introduction of germs at a time when the body is unable to fight them.

It is essential to refrain from having
    intercourse with a menstruating
woman because doing so leads to an
increase in the flow of menstrual
blood, because the veins of the uterus
are congested and prone to rupture,
and get damaged easily; and the wall
of the vagina is also susceptible to
injury, so the likelihood of inflammation is increased, which leads to inflammation in the uterus and in the man’s penis, because of the irritation that occurs during intercourse. Having intercourse with a menstruating woman may also be off- putting to both the man and his wife,
because of the presence and smell of
    blood.

Many Doctors believe the harm is not
limited to the introduction of germs into the uterus and vagina which is difficult to treat, rather it also extends to other things like..

    • The spread of infection to the
    fallopian tubes, which may then
become blocked, which in turn may
lead to infertility or ectopic pregnancy,
which is the most dangerous kind of
    pregnancy.

    • The spread of infection to the
    urethra, bladder and kidneys; diseases
of the urinary tract are usually serious
    and chronic.

    • Increase of germs in the menstrual blood, especially gonorrhea germs. The menstruating woman is also in a physical and psychological state that is not conducive to intercourse, so if it takes place it will harm her a great deal and cause her pains during her period.

And there are many other harmful
effects, some of which have not yet
    been discovered.
