#FranklySpeaking. The Suleiman Scandal.

"Wisdom is the principal thing and in all thy getting, get wisdom" ( Proverbs 4:7)

The Bible didn't say anointing was the principal thing. It said wisdom was the principal and in everything you get (including anointing) get wisdom.

Apostle Suleiman could have simply avoided this scandal by referring this convert to his wife's department or the women ministry.

You convert a stripper, a professional seductress and she wants your phone number, wisdom demands you give her your wife's number before she will dis-anoint you. Speaking in this tongues won't help you out in this case sir.

When it comes to lust of the flesh, the Bible in 2nd Timothy 2:22 said FLEE. Bible didn't say pray, or speak in tongues, or cast and bind, or counsel, the Bible said FLEE.

An ex stripper is professional seductress and you are a man of God, not a God of man. Man of God means, you are a man just like any other man. If you are in doubt, ask David the King. Ask Sampson, Ask Solomon. They were all anointed too.

As a man of God, the wise thing to do was to is flee or hand her over to your wife's ministry rather than opening communications with her. I'm sure she won't be asking your wife for money to set up business if you had stopped all communications with her.

Remember that "Evil communications corrupts good manners" ( 1st Corinthians 15:33). The problem began with opening that communication channel, it can lead to many things .

I do not believe all the things Miss Stephanie Otobo said, but I suspect the pastor must have had an 'inappropriate' relationship with this lady especially through their communications.

It's very possible that those video calls screen munched pictures were real, but this also means that the lady had her own game plan by screen munching and saving them.

This should be a lesson for other pastors and men of God.

Wisdom is the principal thing and in all thy getting, get wisdom.

  3. I disagree abit with this. The person who made that statement (Proverbs 4:7) is the same person who had a harem of women and fell to idol worship even when he was blessed with immense wisdom. Being anointed puts you in a higher level of wisdom, however you apply this wisdom is up to you eventually; it's just like being blessed with a particular Talent yet you refuse to make proper use of it. Wisdom being described as "principal" trait doesn't mean anointing is secondary to it as you initially implied. You also contradicted yourself when you said "...As a man of GOD, the wise thing to do was...". You acknowledge that anointing breeds wisdom.

Second thing I disagree with is this:

"...You convert a stripper, a professional seductress and she wants your phone number, wisdom demands you give her your wife's number before she will dis-anoint you...".

I haven't heard that those who repent of their sins should be avoided still, like some incurable plague. If that be the case, what then is the essence of sanctifying grace? Fine, she probably went back to her old self but suggesting that she should be avoided prior to that is wrong. The Holy Bible says there's great rejoicing for a sinner who is converted, it did not tell us to avoid contact with converts.

I agree Suleiman was probably set up, well...that's not surprising. I also agree that he should've cut of communication if said communication was going south. If you didn't, then he played himself and it's unfortunate. Personally I'm less interested in Suleiman and his alleged escapades. He's not the first and this isn't the worst scandal involving a pastor we've heard about, so...

    1. Memphis, being born again doesn't mean your old habits will leave you automatically. It only means God has forgiven you . I agree that Solomon fell, but it doesn't take away the fact that he was given wisdom by God and so he wrote the book of proverbs. Remember the Bible recorded that he got this after his 1000 offering. David was anointed but he acted unwisely by killing and bedding his wife. Wisdom is applied knowledge and that's why the bible said he that heareth and doeth is likened unto a wise man. Apostle Suleiman is an anointed man, but I think he didn't apply wisdom in dealing with that lady . Being a Man of God means you are a man and you can get seduced like any other man. You have to work on yourself to become stronger . That's why the Bible said flee. That letter was written by a man of God ,Paul to another man of God Timothy . He was teaching him how to act in terms of certain life challenges. Finally, not everything in Christianity is spiritual . Any faith that gives all responsibility to its God is an irresponsible faith . Stay blessed . Frankly Speaking .

    2. To some extent, we're saying the same thing. We both acknowledge that Wisdom, even in its abundance, MUST be applied to avoid unfortunate incidents. However I still disagree that Wisdom supersedes Anointing. I also still disagree that Pastor Suleiman should've avoided Otobo after her "successful" conversion. That is NOT Wisdom. If you call that action Wisdom, many converts will be at risk of going back to their old ways. Communicating constantly with converts actually quickens the process of curbing old habits. Suleiman probably allowed this communication to go south and if that was the case, then he neglected to apply wisdom. That's the case of people like Solomon (wait...ain't Suleiman the same as Solomon? Lol).

  4. No comment on this issue, I don't think people should comment extensively on sensitive issues they don't really understand.

    3. The lady's account of the scandal is a joke.(really no strength to point out the irregularities) but as an entertainer she did a really good job with the comedy skit of a confession and I applaud her. However I'm not that naive to believe that drama. The masterminders should come up with proof more tangible, I'll wait.

  8. wisdom was needed for the pastor to handle the situation in a way that won't implicate him, and a lot more wisdom for any random person with only facts off of social media to not outrightly judge him.
