Joy Isi Bewaji Calls BS On The Halleluyah Challenge.

So the Halleluyah Challenge is eliciting so many mixed reactions. Most people have taken issue to the number of celebrities going there to "mark register" and distracting people who really want to worship.

But that's not Joy's problem with the whole thing. You've read what she has to say. Do you agree with her?

Angry as she sounds, I actually agree with most of the points she's making. Unfortunately though, she seems to be getting it all wrong, nobody ever said the #HalleluyahChallenge was about praying for Nigeria. I wonder where she got that idea...

Anyways, the participants continue to grow in number. Do you think people genuinely want this, or just hopping on th band wagon as usual?

  1. I believe she can lambast the general attitude of Nigerians without ridiculing a religious movement. She is waxing lyrical because it's a hallelujah challenge but remained anonymous during ice bucket challenge and many other social media activities for that matter. Funny how people upgrade their criticism game when they sense a religious uprising. I get the point in the article but the way she went about it is really not the best. As much as she knows that prayer alone can't solve the problems of Nigeria, I hope she knows that her rant can't either. bless her heart.

    2. Lol.

She made sense, but didn't present her case the proper way. The whole essence of religion or a religious activity doesn't produce the required results as we expect it to, especially in this country. We have distinction in praising GOD but fail woefully when it comes to doing HIS Will. How many of us have passed in this? Praising GOD and obeying HIS Commands? Almost no one, and that's the major reason we're all in a mess. Even JESUS said those in this category are "workers of iniquity" (Matt 7: 21-23).

But then, we still have to praise GOD, we still have to thank HIM, we should glorify HIS HOLY NAME. But in doing so, in shouting "Hallelujah", we have to remember that our immediate environment is in a total mess and we MUST do something about it. We must learn to be better humans after the praise and worship; that's what GOD requires of us.

  2. I am the anon from the previous post. Kudos to this lady, beautifully written!! This hallelujah challenge irritates me because ppl are just hopping on the band wagon like u said Thelma bcos they believe in magic instead of actually practicing Christianity which is far beyond 'oh, I was so hungry & sharwama fell from the sky or money appeared in my acct wen I was broke'. That is mockery of God!! It is disgusting the level at which Nathaniel keeps feeding gullible ppl with fabricated testimonies which 'supposedly' occurred bcos of his hallelujah challenge just for more views. I think this country will move forward if ppl wake up & stop depending on religion for everything. Use ur God given brain & think. With the level at which Nigerians carry religion, one wud think the country will be a Dubai by now. Smh. I even saw on IG Ini Edo giving out recharge cards to ppl who dont have data to participate.Lmao. Celebs playing a fast one, using this challenge to sell their market. Mockery!!! P.s- not all 50k ppl that tune in are actually participating, some ar just there out of curiosity.

    1. Yeah.... fabricated testimonies... more like unbelievable, incomprehensible and almost impossible testimonies... those re the kinds praise provokes.
Because tell me... what scientific or logical theory can prove how praise can break you out of jail(Imagine all Michael scofield had to go through and praise would break chains and open the doors JUST LIKE THAT?!)
Or that 5 loaves of bread dand 12 Fishes
would feed 5000 by just lifting it to God and saying a prayer of praise.
Yeah... he uses the seemingly foolish things of this world to confound the wise.

Joy is just reiterating one part of what we already know. Faith without work is dead. So work like you didn't pray at all and praise him like everything depends on it.
All in all... y'all are entitled to your opinion.

  3. If anyone knows her, tell her sasha bone said she should have a seat!

Did anyone say Hallelujah Challenge was to "fix Nig"? Everyone always trying to link anything you do into "the problems of Nig". Is it not possible to praise ur God in the midst of a storm. She should pls have several seats..

Her that isn't doing Hallelujah Challenge, how has it helped Nig (or whatever she's trying to imply). Infact she should just lie down...

  5. She reminds me of the serpent when he was presenting the apple to Eve in the garden of Eden. There's a high level of deception in her write up.She writes as if she's not making a mockery of the Halleluyah challenge but we can read through this deception.I have one sincere prayer for her,may God show himself strong and mighty to her and may she see the light of Christ

Turia Pitt Suffered 65% Burns But Loved Conquered All...

Amazing Story Shared by Dr. Ben Carson on Facebook, i thought it is inspiring and i decided to share;

The Australian ex-model Turia Pitt suffered burns to 65 per cent of her body, lost her fingers and thumb on her right hand and spent five months in hospital after she was trapped by a grassfire in a 100 kilometre ultra-marathon in the Kimberley. Her boyfriend decided to quit his job to care for her recovery.
Days ago, in an interview for CNN they asked him:
"Did you at any moment think about leaving her and hiring someone to take care of her and moving on with your life?"

His reply touched the world:

"I married her soul, her character, and she's the only woman that will continue to fulfill my dreams."

This made me very reflective. I just wonder; if the person you love today encounters an incident or accident that transforms who they are physically, it could be amputation, it could be paralysis, it could be severe burns that scald their flesh beyond recognition, w…
