Happiness Is!

So yesterday morning while talking to my friend on the phone, I suddenly realized that life is only one! So I decided you know what, I'm going to do whatever I want to do today, without any regret.

Yesterday, I did not study, I didn't attend any of my classes, I didn't read notes or do assignments, I handled minimal business and only through the phone or online, I ate (almost) whatever I wanted, I went to the movies in the AFTERNOON!!!, and then I met up with a friend at our favorite little restaurant (Roadhouse, Ikoyi), I had kelewele for the first time ever, with grilled chicken 😅, then we went to this little hotel in Lekki phase 1 and had catfish pepper soup with Campari on the rocks. His friends came over and we all had a cherry merry night, and then at 10pm I left them and went to Cold Stone, I bought a big cup of ice cream with crushed waffles and brownies and nuts and then I came home and sat in front of the screen and binged on TV series I'd downloaded earlier in the day; The Bold Ones, Power (season 4) and Game of Thrones (season 7) while I ate the tastiest ice cream in the whole wide world!

And when sleep eventually came, I couldn't have felt happier or more fulfilled. I need to do this once in a while, forget about everything and just live. It was precious 😊

I slept like a baby. I woke up feeling brand new. I had the best dreams people!

Seriously. I dreamt that I had twin girls, these babies were cute for daysssssss. One looked exactly like me and the other exactly like daddy. It was such a lovely dream, I can still see their faces, their curly hair and gorgeous smiles.

I didn't think much of it until I woke up and went to fry an egg and guess what. I broke the egg into the plate and it had 2 yolks. Two!

Guys, if this isn't a sign then I don't know what is.

If you know what this means, or if you have any theories please tell me oh.

And back to happiness.

Happiness is a day just like yesterday; freedom without fear of consequences, ice cream and laughter.
Happiness is sleeping late and waking up next to someone I love
Happiness praying for something and getting it immediately
Happiness is opening Thelma Thinks and seeing loads of comments and engagement.
Happiness is when people meet on Thelma Thinks and go ahead to strike a successful business partnership or romantic relationship
Happiness is eating whatever I want and not adding any weight (I wish. Lol)
Happiness is getting credit alerts on my phone that I wasn't expecting
Happiness is hearing a baby's laughter

Let's talk about the simple things in life that makes you happy. Have a beautiful weekend ahead people!

  1. Well, last night I figured I wasn't truly happy with myself, my life, my relationship with God and some of my decisions. And to top it off I had a fight with boo last night. It was one of the times I felt truly sad and depressed like my life was stagnant.
Anyway, I'm grateful I opened my eyes this morning and still breathing and I told myself in Jenifa's voice "it be better"

  2. Happiness to me is being able to go bed at night knowing that I did almost everything I had planed for that day and that I am at peace with myself and God.

  3. Happiness is seeing the end of a very long and hard battle(cancer)

Happiness is finally graduating from a situationship into courtship then marriage.

Happiness is finally knowing his will for your life and following it

Happiness is knowing you love someone and the person loves you right back

Happiness is a plate of ice cream and chocolate cake with loved ones

Happiness is seeing a smile on my momma's face

Happiness is having someone to talk to after a hard day's work

Happiness is finally closing that long pending defect that makes your name fly around in meetings

Happiness is going on vacation with your best friends in the whole wide world

Happiness is a plate of good food, a cool weather and all your best series with enough episodes to binge watch(of course NEPA/PHCN/IKEDC should be on point)

Happiness is a rainy day, comfy bed, hot cup of milo, a good romantic book and a warm blanket to go with it.

Happiness is waking up at 7am on week/work day.

Happiness is getting a big fat warm comforting hug on a day where everything is determined to not go well with soothing words like "you'll be fine" to go with it.

Thelma let me just stop here 😁
    Before I right 1500 words.
    Uncle Chris 🙌 You're still my Oga/teacher.

    1. But we both know your chats say otherwise?

Happiness is life, life is what I make out of it. Chrisyinks

  4. This "situation" called happiness is as simple as it is complicated, sometimes I wonder what it would take to be actually truly and fully happy, I guess I'll just have to thrive in the brief moments until I figure the big one out.

  5. The two yolks in an egg definitely a sign,lol...
Happiness is decluttering, sanitising and achieving a bout of clean laundry. There's this feeling of accomplishment/pride when I have a box of laundered clothes.

  6. Happiness is my family, my sister, my bae, my friends who i've realised are as weird as i am (what truly is normal?? Ish... ) Happiness is God, what he's molding me into. Happiness is knowing all the dark days i left behind and knowing that my future can shine brighter and brighter. Happiness is love that i'm filled with from the inside out. I can actually keep typing lol. I want to shout!!! Iyanu

  7. Happiness is doing a good deed for someone.

Happiness is ensuring everybody around me is happy.

Happiness is hearing my son scream "mummy" when I return home after a stressful day and I see that smile on his face (shows someone appreciates me).

Happiness is knowing God has thoughts of good towards me.

Happiness is the sense of fulfillment after a hard days work.

Happiness is ticking off the "to-dos" on my bucket list

    Happiness is bae!!!

  8. Happiness is something I would like to experience, i feel so sad most times.

    1. Hey Gifty,

Do remember that the happiest people don't have the best of everything, they only make the best of everything they have. And I reckon that you really can be happy.....and if you look deep down inside you, you have everything you need to be happy. Chrisyinks

    2. i don't know what the source of your sadness is. but if there are certain things in your life right now that make you think your life sucks - focus your energy on figuring out how to address those unpleasant things. But know that the absence of those unpleasant things does not equate to the presence of happiness. sadness/depression is like a virus that just keeps eating away at its host. If initially, one was sad because of A, B, and C... the person eventually works their butt off to address A, B and C. Very often, once that is achieved, the person then finds D, E and F to be sad about, and the cycle of sadness continues. My point? True happiness is something you have to find from within. Quite frankly, it’s not even true happiness that one should work towards, you should work towards joy. Because happiness is fleeting. It’s temporal... but joy? Joy comes deep from your soul. Visit a garden near you and take in the blooms. Look up in the sky and watch the clouds move in such splendour. Watch the beauty of the sun rising. Find reasons to be glad and joyful from your insides, You would find a lot more than you can imagine when you actually start to think of them. One of the very first songs I ever learnt in Kindergarten still rings true to me today, and I still sing the chorus whenever I feel like my compass needs to be reset. It goes:
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God has done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
*Count your many blessings, see what God has done.
[*And it will surprise you what the Lord has done.]
My message would be grossly incomplete if I did not include prayer. Do pray. Rebuke the spirit of heaviness. And talk to someone who cares. You do not have to carry the burden alone. ((((warm hugs))))

  9. Happiness is loving someone 90 percent and having that person love u back equally

Happiness is that feeling of contentment with what you have

Happiness is being surrounded by family and friends that genuinely care on your best and worst days and making memories with them

Happiness is having good health, priceless.

  10. Wow, those egg yokes are so much of a sign, twin babies on the way for you happiness means so much to me, am just not in the mood for an epistle Biko..

  11. Twins baby twins.
Happiness is doing what I whanna do whenever I want to.
It is plenty, unfinishable money n investments.
It is travelling to see d world
It's is praying, and getting what I want.
Above all, it is Peace with God.

Turia Pitt Suffered 65% Burns But Loved Conquered All...

Amazing Story Shared by Dr. Ben Carson on Facebook, i thought it is inspiring and i decided to share;

The Australian ex-model Turia Pitt suffered burns to 65 per cent of her body, lost her fingers and thumb on her right hand and spent five months in hospital after she was trapped by a grassfire in a 100 kilometre ultra-marathon in the Kimberley. Her boyfriend decided to quit his job to care for her recovery.
Days ago, in an interview for CNN they asked him:
"Did you at any moment think about leaving her and hiring someone to take care of her and moving on with your life?"

His reply touched the world:

"I married her soul, her character, and she's the only woman that will continue to fulfill my dreams."

This made me very reflective. I just wonder; if the person you love today encounters an incident or accident that transforms who they are physically, it could be amputation, it could be paralysis, it could be severe burns that scald their flesh beyond recognition, w…

Good morning people!
Just checking in to sign the register. Lol. It's been a very busy week and it looks like it might be an even busier weekend. I was hoping to get some writing done when I got to the airport yesterday but I even almost missed my flight. It was hopeless trying to do any work on the plane as it was bumpy af, and this toddler behind me wouldn't stop screaming in piercing shrieks like he was being exorcised.
I got into town pretty late and needed to keep an appointment ASAP. I'm heading out right now and it's going to be a long day, but thought I should drop this first.
Have a splendid day. Im'ma be back soon.

One More Post...

He was my coursemate, crush, then my boyfriend.... he was super
intelligent, smart, tall, dark and handsome. Believe me he got
swag, but he didn't seem to notice me. (I'm a nerd but a sassy one
if I say so myself).  So oneday I decided to take it to another level..
After listening to a song "IF YOU LOVE SOMEBODY TELL THEM THAT YOU
LOVE THEM and watching the season film of The Secret Life of
American Teenagers. ..when Amy Jeugerns mum told her "you are only
young once". LOL that part got me.
Hope you know what i mean?

Though I'm okay with chemistry class I approached him to coach me for
the Quiz that was coming up, we found out that we had this
great chemistry between us.. hehehe both the covalent and
electrovalent bonds....

So one thing led to another till one unusual Saturday. I invited
him to my house and he came. The guy got swag, he even came
with a packet of durex condom.
We talked for a while and and and and and and
See how you are serious dey read this story....!

A side chick is commonly known as a mistress or a woman that’s romantically involved with a man who is in a committed relationship.  However after doing some reflecting, I realize that’s not the only type of side chick.  I want to discuss “the new side chick”–a woman who decides to stay by a man’s side after he has expressed his lack of relationship intentions with her through his words or actions.  So many women have made this mistake at least once in their lifetime, and unfortunately I’ve done the same thing. I like to think of the new side chick as an appetizer.  You’re there just to satisfy the immediate appetite of the man, but as soon as that mouth-watering entrée comes out to the table, you will get pushed to the side, literally.  Why?  Because that entrée is what he really wanted; he went to the restaurant to order steak, not hot wings.  You were just a placeholder, fling, temporary commitment, or  maybe even just a “good ol time” until what he really wanted was presented to hi…

I'm in an amebo mood tonight. Don't ask me, I honestly don't know why. Also I'd like to share too but I'd do that anonymously in the comment section. Tonight I want to talk about secrets. It's ok, we can all be anonymous.
Is it true that EVERYBODY has a secret?
Is there anyone here who doesn't have a secret? I'd really like to know; You're a completely open book and there's not ONE thing about you that you wouldn't mind other people knowing about? Please raise your hands up.
And for the rest of us, what's something about you that no one knows, or very few people know? Who's got a dark secret here, or a weird one, or a funny one even? I really don't mean to be invasive but I don't want to be the only one sharing, plus I think hearing other people's secrets is quite fun, don't you think?

Let's Be Random Together! (Open Keypad).

Hey guys, a while back blog reader F said something about creating an Open Keypad post, where you can write whatever you want in the comment section. I thought it was a fun idea!
So who is interested? Comment on anything you feel like, ask me or anyone a question, talk about how your day went, your job, your interests, tell us something about you that we don't know, share a testimony with us, rant about anything you feel like, talk about your crush/boo/spouse/relationship/marriage, challenges you're facing, ANYTHING AT ALL!
I'll only make one request; that we stay civil.

(F it was you who made this suggestion, right? I'm not too sure and I can't even remember the post the comment was made on).
BTW please Ejoeccome out come out, wherever you are!

Question of The Day.

TTB readers doesn't this tweet below remind you of something?
That mail that someone sent me a few weeks back.
But why on earth should a man sleep with his son's fiancé? But what am I saying, some men even sleep with their daughters...

Oh well, I'm throwing the question to you. What has happened in your life that you never saw coming, you never hesperred it, you never imagined could happen, you never imagined could happen to you?
It could be good, it could be bad, it could be ugly. Do tell!
And it can be more than one. Let me tell you a few.
-owning a blog -week long dry fast at Prayer City (I never hesperred it).  -staying in an (emotionally) abusive relationship.
The others require anonymity. LOL. Now over to you.
