Hello everyone, yesterday a friend said to me, Thelma I love your blog, I've told so many people about your blog, I think you're a very good writer but I feel there's something you're not doing right"
This friend was the first person who won our beauty of the day contest back then in 2014. Then we had met just once through a mutual friend. I mentioned the blog to her and she became an instant reader. I wouldn't have exactly called her a friend then but yesterday as we sat down waiting for our Uber to come get us from Wal-Mart, she's definitely my friend and I knew she was coming from a good place when she said she had much higher expectations of my blog.
But you see, in the last year or so, maybe even longer than that, I haven't felt much joy in blogging. It began to feel more and more of a laborious chore, one which I hardly reaped any fruits from.
I really love writing, I love sharing my life and my experiences with others and I've enjoyed sharing with you and reading your comments.
But the quality of my blog has become very subpar and because I lack the willpower and the time actually, to do anything about that, I think it's best for me to say good bye.
I may start blogging again someday. I may start vlogging much later. But I feel like I'm entering a new era in my life and there's not much time for some other things right now. I'm writing this because it tortures me when I think of people opening the blog and finding nothing new to read.
I'm not varnishing into thin air however. If you miss me you'll find me on Instagram @thelmathinks , I'll post from there for now, and you can still reach me on email@example.com
I may occasionally share posts on IG, I may come back here once in a blue moon if I feel like it, but that's unlikely.
I've wanted to do this for so long but whenever I think of my readers I pause. Some of you have been so loyal, it makes absolutely no sense! I want to say a huge thank you.
For the people I've met through this blog, the friends I've made whom I'd have never met otherwise, I'm so grateful.
Btw today's my birthday, well in Houston it's not my birthday for another 4 hours but my brain is still on Nigerian time. I'll see you around guys.
